Let me get this out of the way first in saying that when Meme coins often take center stage it at least in the past has meant that the bull market was coming to and end.

Meme Coins

Meme coins are often clowned on and don't get me wrong there are plenty that are scams, cash grabs and just trash. However there are others that are launched that grab attention and do rather well.

I think the first and biggest would be the likes of Dogecoin which now boost rather impressive numbers and has become one of the great ways to actully provide liquidity and low transaction fees which we currently see across various meme coins these days.

For me the most notable meme coins at the moment seem to be BONK, PEPE and SHIB. These are often at the moment some of the most traded and swapped tokens in fact many of these pairs I currently have setup on other DeFi platforms are generating just massive fees of around a 40% APR.

Alt Season

While many people are betting on an Alt Coin season and bull run on all assets in 2025 I'm a bit more skeptical for the main reason that there are far more tokens and market saturation than ever before.

The other reason why meme coins are often looked at by many and doing well is because of major blockchains launching that often have no air drop, or a very limited released supply while droves of it are locked up into the "company" or leaders that are releasing the token.

These business style blockchains while they do, do well because of their large market caps and very looked after funds it still leaves a level of distrust that the blockchain company could dump their funds if worse came to worse and the project needed money.

There's also a game being played right now where token launches are saying one thing but leaving out the other causing a lot of distrust in the industry for new projects now.

What's clear is a lot of these projects do need to be looked into before investing as you should be doing anyways. This is because it's become increasingly aware to some people and the details are just getting out about main core holders have been selling out their assets well before either the unlocking period has ended per their whitepaper or other means.

MEME Coin Buying

It seems like a lot of people are looking for those big sweet gains and well large projects are not pulling the numbers because of the millions being sold in Fiat to fund various aspects of those projects from right out under the noses of their investors but also because well meme coins just hold a place in our hearts right?

Meme coins can hold value and can provide a lot of liquidity and use cases. People mainly flock to these in the dreams of huge massive gains or huge APR and while this sounds sketch it does happen and it does happen pretty often. But you also have to realize that that's the name of the game for everyone and funds simply don't drop out of thin air for these tokens.
