There are many introduced plants in Europe, which often damage the native flora. There are also some in Africa, of course, and I photographed one in a national park on the Indian Ocean coast. The fern is native to the Pacific.

This plant has many types, if I'm not mistaken, there are 4 types, similar but not the same.
I loke your post.
Maybe because its growth spreads quickly and has binding roots, thereby destroying native plants

Is this fern a plant that can be consumed? Because in my area there are also ferns and these can be used as cooked vegetables with a delicious taste.
