The Ageless Enigma: Unraveling The Mystery Of Youthful Vibes (LOH #265)

When it comes to age, personally I can’t really say for sure which it is. There are times that I look older, and then there were times when I looked younger, but usually for those times I looked older, it was me being in my lowest of lows lol. You see, whenever I hear the word 'women age like milk', I cannot help but laugh.

Basically when it comes to ageing, one major factor that would preserve one’s look over the test of time is money and how adequately it is being invested in self-appearance. For me, I’d say I sound more mature than my looks, and I always get people saying that to me a whole lot of times. Recently I was in a taxi and then on the phone with a friend. We had a few minutes of chitchat, and then we said our goodbyes.

After the call, I noticed the taxi driver kept staring at me through his mirror. At a point I paused on pressing my phone and looked back in the mirror. When he saw I was looking back, he quickly looked in another direction. I kept looking at the mirror and thinking I had looked away; he tried to look at me again, but then our eyes met, and I asked him if there was any problem.

He said nothing, and the ride continued in an awkward silence. We got to my destination, and as I was about to highlight, he said to me, “You look really young compared to how you sound.” And I’m like, 'Oh, really?' Why would you say that? And then he said it was just when I heard you on the phone. I thought you were one very mature lady, but then I got a glimpse of you and was surprised.

I chuckled, and I just said thank you. I would know if I should call that a compliment, but I usually get that a lot… “Oh, you don’t look at all like what you sound like,” lol. One time my younger sister looked at me and yelled, 'Why do you look so young lol?' You know, compliments like this make me very excited, and I usually get them times when I live mentally free with nothing bothering me. It's also the same time where I spend a lot pampering myself and just getting whatever makes me happy.

Given my experiences with my looks, I guess it's safe to say, however, we feel and how people see us is tied to our state of mind, and for this reason, I always try to detox mentally and just do what makes me happy. Guess that’s my secret of youth lol.
