Review of my favourite performance - Vibes week 32 Winner

I stumbled upon a blog recently about the winners of the VIBES week 32 competition. As I read, I realized it wasn't just about music as usual. There was an opportunity for writers to give honest reviews on various entries and collaborate with musicians via poems or lyrical writings. The post also has a third option for writers to reflect on competitions from past weeks and compare and share thoughts on judges' decisions while highlighting their favourite performances. I saw this initiative for writers started in VIBES week 27, and honestly, it's a wonderful one.

I love music, especially when it's done well, but I can't sing, and whenever I listen to a song, it's not just music for me, but the emotions invested by the artist plus the message it conveys to me as the listener. Well, for week 32, the entries were all nice. There were six winners, but everyone did their best, which was commendable.

It was such a herculean task choosing a favorite performance among the winners. I must commend the judges because ranking is challenging. But after watching and listening to the final six entries, the performance by @ddsb was undeniably a game-changer.

His introduction was beautiful, and he made singing look effortlessly captivating. I was mesmerized watching him go about his morning routine while singing gracefully, transforming mundane tasks into a beautiful performance. One magnificent thing about music is that it brings a spark to whatever it is that we do, and that's how it intertwines with life.

Although I don't like chores, I find it enjoyable putting on my earpiece and singing along to my favourite song, even when my voice is terrible.

Observing him navigate his kitchen was akin to witnessing an artist at work; whether he was crafting a rich chocolate beverage or brewing a steaming cup of coffee, every movement was harmonised with the music that filled the air.

He was born to sing because it felt like I was watching a clip from a professional music video rather than just a view of his daily life.

The highlight of his performance was how I did not understand the language of his lyrics, but I vibed to its rhythm. He conveyed the true essence of music, rising above language barriers and speaking directly to the soul whose language is sound. Above all, it stirred a warm happiness within me, leaving me enchanted and longing for more.
