A chocolate biscuit affair.

Let me try to describe Fab, but best believe words won't do justice….

It has a Chocolatey taste and a slightly bitter flavor. It is the perfect blend between bitter and sweet.

You take a bite and the crunch just melts immediately in your mouth, exposing your pallets to all those chocolate chips embedded within and ohh the chocolate fillings….

How can I forget that? These biscuits were made first like a chocolate chip cookie, then in the form of a sandwich because of the chocolate filling. I call it double the chocolate, triple the goodness and double the delight.

Whoosh!!! All this description is making me hungry, my taste buds are dripping and here I am having some midnight snacks.

The thing is, I am not a fan of chocolate, probably because it's bitter, and I have tried my best to like it, but it just doesn't work out much.

One reason why I tried to like Chocolate is because of my daughter, because she likes sharing everything she eats with me.

I first noticed her love for chocolate when I used to bake and make cookies in chocolate and vanilla flavor. I'd give her the vanilla flavored cookies, and she would reject it but then, I'd give her the chocolate flavored cookies, and she'll eat it all until her hearts content.

Then we'd go out for ice cream, and she'll say mommy get the flavors I'm getting, but I don't like the flavors you are getting, you love chocolate, and I am not a fan lol. Occasionally, I'll just get the chocolate flavored just to please her.

I first learned about Fab when I paid my friend's girlfriend (Anita) who had been ill a visit. She has been hospitalized and just got discharged, so I went to see her at home.

After spending some time in her house gisting, she asked we go for some girl's shopping as she's bored and I obliged. On our way, we stopped by at a shop opposite her street to get some biscuits before boarding the taxi.

As I picked up some of my favorite biscuits, she just stood there scanning through the cartons and when she didn't see what she wanted, she drew the attention of the shop attendant inquiring if they had the Fab biscuits in stock inside as it's not among the ones put out. The shop attendant told her the company has stopped production and I saw how her Spirit dropped.

I found it quite funny that biscuits could ruin her mood in split seconds but then out of curiosity, I asked her how's the biscuits like, and then she started describing.

She called Fab the best biscuits you can ever taste, she described it as chocolate upon chocolate and went further to elaborate on the chocolate chips embedded within. Her vivid description of the biscuit sounded too good to be true because biscuits like that are usually found in the supermarkets, not local shops.

I thought she was exaggerating until one day I was getting bread from a local shop near my house, and then I saw the Fab biscuits and immediately asked it should be included in my order.

I got home that day, unwrapped the biscuits and took a bite…. Best believe Anita did not do justice in the description and with each bite I took, the song stuck on you kept playing on repeat in my head.

Despite my chocolate reservations, I fell in love with Fab Chocolate Cookies or like we call it in Nigeria, Biscuits. We call all dry pastries biscuits in my country, lol.
