The Pearl of Ordu; Hoynat Island/ Ordu’nun İncisi; Hoynat Adası 🌊

Hello everyone, I hope you are well and enjoying yourselves. In my last post, I mentioned the Yason church and island. These days, my eyes are searching for those places. I had a really nice vacation, and I needed it. When I go back to Ordu next summer, I will visit the places I haven't seen yet. Today, I will share a different place with you.

Herkese merhaba, umarım iyisinizdir ve keyifler yerindedir. Son gönderimde Yason kilisesi ve adasından bahsetmiştim. Bu günlerde gözlerim o yerleri arıyor. Gerçekten güzel bir tatil geçirmiştim ve buna da ihtiyacım vardı. Önümüzdeki yaz ayında tekrardan Ordu’ya gittiğimde görmediğim yerleri ziyaret edeceğim. Bugün farklı bir yeri sizlerle paylaşacağım.

After a journey of about 15 minutes from Yason Burnu Island, we reached Hoynat Island. During the trip, we witnessed the blue and green scenery of the Black Sea.
While in Istanbul, my wife @bilginsemra kept talking about this island. To be honest, it was even more beautiful than she described. I'm glad I added it to my list when planning my annual leave. @incublus shared a nice post about it here.

Yason Burnu adasından sonra yaklaşık 15 dakika süren bir yolculuğun ardından Hoynat adasına ulaştık. Yolculuk yaparken Karadeniz’in mavi ve yeşil manzarasına şahitlik ediyorduk.
İstanbul’da iken eşim @bilginsemra sürekli bu adadan bahsediyordu. Açık konuşmak gerekirse bahsettiğinden daha güzeldi. Yıllık izin planı yaparken iyi ki burayı listeme eklemişim. @incublus’da burada güzel bir post paylaşmıştı.

When we arrived at the island, it wasn't very crowded. We had no trouble parking the car. Even though it was summer, the weather was very nice. The wind coming from the sea reduced the humidity and the effect of the sun. It's not very clear in the photos, but there were people swimming in the sea, even venturing out to a certain point. Frankly, if I had gone into the sea here, I wouldn't have been that brave. The Black Sea is much more dangerous than the Mediterranean. It's worth being careful.

Adaya ulaştığımızda çok fazla kalabalık yoktu. Aracı park etmekte hiç zorlanmadık. Yaz ayı olmasına rağmen hava çok güzeldi. Denizden gelen rüzgar nemli hava ve güneşin etkisini azaltıyordu. Fotoğraflarda çok belli değil ancak denizde yüzen hatta belli bir noktaya kadar açılan insanlar vardı. Açıkçası burda denize girmiş olsam bu kadar cesaret edemezdim. Karadeniz, Akdeniz’e göre çok daha tehlikeli. Dikkat etmekte fayda var.

It is possible to encounter similar landscapes, especially on the eastern coast of the Black Sea. I spent five years studying in Rize, surrounded by nature and sea views. It would be fair to say that those were the best years of my life. It has a positive effect on one's psychological state. Hoynat Island took me back to my university years and my memories.

Karadeniz’in özellikle kıyı doğusunda buna benzer manzaralarla karşılaşmak mümkün. Beş yıl Rize’de doğa ve deniz manzarasının içerisinde okudum. Hayatımın en güzel yıllarıydı desem yeridir. İnsanın psikolojik durumunu olumlu anlamda etkiliyor. Hoynat adası beni üniversite yıllarına, anılarıma götürdü.

My spouse had mentioned that this area was rich in bird species before we arrived. However, when we went there, I could only see a few black-headed gulls. It's probably a seasonal thing.
What really caught my attention was the presence of suitable spots for fishing. If I had fishing gear with me, I would have at least tried my luck. 😄

Eşim buraya gelmeden önce kuş türü açısından çok zengin bir bölge olduğunu söylemişti. Ancak biz gittiğimizde sadece birkaç tane karabatak kuşu görebildim. Muhtemelen mevsimsel bir durum.
Benim dikkatimi çeken asıl husus balık tutmak için uygun noktaların olması. Yanımda balık tutmak için malzeme olsa en azından biraz şansımı denerdim. 😄

Since it was a bit difficult to get down to the beach where people were swimming, we didn't want to waste time. Besides, it had started raining shortly after. We didn't go down to the shore because we were hungry. However, I tried to take as many photos as possible. Next time I come, I'll probably go down and swim in the safe areas to enjoy the water.

Deniz kıyısına, insanların yüzdüğü alana inmek biraz zor olduğu için vakit kaybetmek istemedik. Kısa bir süre sonra da zaten yağmur yağmaya başlamıştı. Karnımız da aç olduğu için kıyıya inmedik. Ancak olabildiğince fotoğrafını çekmeye çalıştım. Bir dahaki geldiğimde muhtemelen aşağı inip güvenli alanlarında denize girip suyun tadını çıkartırım.

We spent about 30-40 minutes on Hoynat Island. Before leaving, I visited a shop selling souvenirs. The prices were a bit expensive, to be honest. Prices tend to be higher in places like this, so I didn't question it too much. After saying goodbye to Hoynat Island, we had some meatballs and bread near Perşembe district. It was a very enjoyable day. The last photos I shared were taken from Yason Burnu. Although not very clear, Hoynat Island is visible.

Hoynat adasında yaklaşık olarak 30-40 dakika kadar vakit geçirdik. Buradan ayrılmadan önce hediyelik eşyalar satan dükkanı ziyaret ettim. Fiyatları açıkçası biraz pahalıydı. Genelde böyle yerlerde fiyatlar daha pahalı olabiliyor. Dolayısıyla çok fazla sorgulamadım. Hoynat adasına veda ettikten sonra perşembe ilçesine yakın bir yerde köfte ekmek yedik. Çok keyifli bir gündü. Son paylaştığım fotoğrafları Yason Burnundan çekmiştim. Çok net olmasa da Hoynat adası belli oluyor.
