Hello everyone. Do you watch TV series or films in your daily life? I'm not someone who watches too many TV series and films. I can't watch especially long films or series with too many episodes, or rather, I get bored very quickly. Even if it is so beautiful and fluent. My favourite and most watched Turkish series is the Valley of the Wolves. Even in this series, I skipped and watched most of the scenes. I don't know if it happens to you, but for some reason I can't completely adapt to something I watch. However, there are times when I watch the scenes I enjoy over and over again. I can even imitate the actors' lines when I see the scene.

I would like to make a comparison between the past and the present. First of all, I must state that. The films and series broadcast in the past years, especially in the 2000s and before, seem much more sincere to me. In their content, they try to convey a message to the society in general. Sometimes there are such scenes that lessons can be learned even from the scene that is thought to give a negative perception. Unfortunately, there are also negative aspects. In the past years, since the control of the cinema sector was not at a high level, slang words can be expressed very easily in films and series. I think this is one of the biggest advantages of today's TV series. It is almost impossible to see slang words. Even if they are used, I haven't heard them. Most of today's TV series, especially the recent ones, focus on certain topics. There is hardly any message that they want to give or scenes that can contribute to society and make us think differently. Yes, I have not watched any of these series I mentioned. If you are wondering how I came to such a conclusion, when I watch the series or film out of the corner of my eye for a few minutes, it seems very insincere to me. Maybe I make such a judgement too quickly, I may be wrong about that. But I don't feel the need to watch them for some reason, they don't seem interesting.

Biraz da geçmişle günümüz arasında karşılaştırma yapmak istiyorum. Öncelikle belirtmeliyim ki. Geçmiş yıllardaki özellikle 2000’li ve daha öncesinde yayınlanan filmler ve diziler bana çok daha samimi geliyor. İçeriklerinde genel itibariyle topluma yönelik bir mesaj aktarılmaya çalışılıyor. Bazen öyle sahneler oluyor ki olumsuz bir algı veriliyor gibi düşünülen sahneden bile dersler alınabiliyor. Olumsuz yanları da maalesef ki var. Geçmiş yıllarda sinema sektörüne yönelik denetim üst düzeyde olmadığı için filmlerin, dizilerin içinde argo kelimeler çok rahat ifade edilebiliyor. Günümüzdeki dizilerin sanırım en büyük avantajlarından birisi de bu. Argo kelimeler görmek neredeyse imkansız. Kullanılıyorsa bile ben duymadım. Günümüzdeki özellikle de son dönemlerde çekilen dizilerin çoğu belli başlı konular üzerinde duruyor. Vermek istediği bir mesaj ya da topluma katkı sunabilecek, farklı düşündürebilecek sahneler yok denecek kadar az. Evet, bahsettiğim bu dizilerin hiçbirini izlemedim. Nasıl böyle bir kanıya vardığımı düşünüyorsanız eğer diziyi ya da filmi birkaç dakika göz ucuyla izlediğimde bana çok samimiyetsiz geliyor. Belki çok çabuk böyle bir karar veriyorum, bu konuda haksız olabilirim. Ama izleme gereği de nedense hiç duymuyorum. İlgi çekici gelmiyorlar.

Today, while having dinner, I coincidentally came across Hababam Class, one of the important films in the history of Turkish cinema. While watching this film, such thoughts appeared in my mind and I wanted to write it down and share it with you. When I first watched Hababam Class, I think I was going to primary school. There is not much difference between the pleasure I got 15-20 years ago and today. This is definitely due to the quality of the film and the actors.
As you can understand from my article, I enjoy watching old films and series much more, especially those that contain comedy and action.

Bugün akşam yemek yerken tesadüfen televizyonda Türk sinema tarihinin önemli filmlerinden birisi olan Hababam Sınıfına denk geldim. Bu filmi izlerken aklımda böyle düşünceler belirdi ve yazıya döküp sizlerle paylaşmak istedim. Hababam sınıfını ilk izlediğimde sanırım ilkokula gidiyordum. 15-20 yıl önceki aldığım hazla bugün ki arasında çok fazla bir fark yok. Bu da filmin ve oyucuların kalitesinden kaynaklanıyor kesinlikle.
Yazımdan da anlaşılacağı üzere eski filmleri, dizileri izlemekten çok daha fazla keyif alıyorum. Özellikle komedi ve aksiyon içerenler keyifli geliyor.
