Flooded Memories; Nadire Canyon/ Sular Altında Kalan Anılar; Nadire Kanyonu 🏞️

Hello everyone, I hope you are well and everything is fine. Apart from the hot weather, everything is fine.
Today I will share my second stop in my hometown, the mill. I have shared this place with you before, but I have not been able to see these places for two years. It was a nice trip with @bilginselcuk, @bilginhilal and other cousins.

Bugün memleketteki ikinci durağım olan değirmeni paylaşacağım. Daha önce burayı sizlerle paylaşmıştım ancak iki yıldır buraları göremiyordum. @bilginselcuk, @bilginhilal ve diğer kuzenlerle güzel bir gezi olmuştu.

After passing through the stabilised roads, we reached the mill. This place is located in the eastern part of the lake I shared the other day and is about 8-10 km away. The water level was higher the last time I was here. The house seen at the bottom of the photo was under the water. I want to talk a little bit about the house under the road, it was my grandfather's. He used the upper part as a house and the lower part as a mill. Until 5-6 years before he passed away, he travelled 8-10 km almost every day to come here and run the mill. It was a kind of source of income. I remember staying in this house many times when I was little, so it has a lot of memories. Nowadays, only the ruin you see in the photo remains.

Stabilize yollardan geçtikten sonra değirmene ulaştık. Burası geçen gün paylaştığım gölün doğu kısmında bulunuyor ve yaklaşık 8-10 km uzaklıkta. En son geldiğimde su seviyesi daha yüksekti. Fotoğrafın alt tarafında görülen ev suyun altındaydı. Yolun altındaki görünen eve biraz değinmek istiyorum. Burası dedemindi. Üst kısmını ev alt kısmınıda değirmen olarak kullanıyordu. Vefat etmeden 5-6 sene öncesine kadar hemen hemen her gün 8-10 km mesafe katederek buralara geliyordu ve değirmeni işletiyordu. Bir nevi gelir kaynağıydı. Küçükken bu evde birçok kez kaldığımı hatırlıyorum. Dolayısıyla anısı çok fazla. Şimdilerde ise geriye sadece fotoğrafta gördüğünüz harabe kalmış.

There has been a water shortage in the village for many years, in fact, when I was in the village last time, the water was cut off from time to time during the day. They have realised the project that has been talked about and worked on for years. They will deliver the water flowing from the natural spring to the dam to the village with a solar panel, so that the water shortage that has been going on for years will be solved. I hope it will be solved as soon as possible.
The people of the village and people from outside often visit these places and have picnics and camping. However, since there are not many trees, the area is insufficient. Different types of trees planted to prevent this and to strengthen the nature have started to grow. This is another positive development. Considering all these, important developments are taking place.

Köyde uzun yıllardır su sıkıntısı var hatta geçen köydeyken gündüzleri ara ara sular kesiliyordu. Yıllardır konuşulan, üstünde çalışılan projeyi hayata geçirmişler. Doğal kaynaktan baraja akan suyu güneş paneli ile köye ulaştıracaklar böylelikle yıllardır süregelen su sıkıntısı çözülmüş olacak. Umarım en kısa sürede hallolur.
Köy halkı ve dışardan gelen insanlar buraları sık sık ziyaret edip piknik, kamp yapıyorlar. Ancak çok fazla ağaç olmadığı için alan yetersiz kalıyor. Bunun da önüne geçmek ve tabiatı güçlendirmek için dikilen farklı türdeki ağaçlar büyümeye başlamış. Buda diğer olumlu bir gelişme. Bütün bunları göz önünde bulundurursak önemli gelişmeler yaşanıyor.

One of the important developments is the increase in the recognition of the dam, also known as turquoise lake, after the advertisements. People from different villages and even from many provinces of Turkey come to visit and make ferry tours. Therefore, the economic contribution of the lake is high. However, it also brings some negativities. Unfortunately, people who come for a tour leave their rubbish.
I saw a lot of rubbish at different points but I did not want to share them with you.

Yaşanan önemli gelişmelerden birisi de barajın diğer adıyla turkuaz gölünün yapılan reklamlardan sonra tanınırlığının artması. Farklı köylerden hatta Türkiye’nin birçok ilinden insanlar ziyarete geliyor, vapur turu yapıyor. Dolayısıyla ekonomik anlamda gölün katkısı yüksek. Ancak bazı olumsuzlukları da beraberinde getiriyor. Geziye gelen insanlar çöplerini maalesef bırakıyorlar.
Farklı noktalarda birçok çöp gördüm ancak bunları sizlerle paylaşmak istemedim.

I was going to share the fountain you see in this photo in the previous post, but I overlooked it. I wanted to add it to this post because I wanted you to see it. Since it comes naturally from the mountain, the water is clean and quite cold. Although I did not need water, I drank about half a litre.
If I talk about the other photo, although I have been coming here for years, I saw the water flowing between the stones for the first time and it attracted my attention. Probably the stone was in one piece and the water split it in two because it was looking for a way.

Bu fotoğrafta gördüğünüz çeşmeyi bir önceki gönderide paylaşacaktım ancak gözümden kaçmış. Sizlerinde görmesini istediğim için bu gönderiye eklemek istedim. Dağın içinden doğal yollardan geldiği için su çek temiz ve oldukça soğuk. Su ihtiyacım olmamasına rağmen yarım litreye yakın içmiştim.
Diğer fotoğrafa değinecek olursam, yıllardır buralara gelmeme rağmen taşların arasından akan suyu ilk defa gördüm ve çok dikkatimi çekti. Muhtemelen taş tek parçaydı ve su kendine bir yol aradığı için ikiye ayırdı.

The wooden structure was built to revitalise tourism after the region was flooded. However, it was closed after a short time because it was not very popular. Afterwards, many people used this place for free and unfortunately they damaged it and left no trace of its old state. People can sometimes be ungrateful for good intentions.

Ahşap yapı ise bölgenin sular altında kalmasından sonra turizmi canlandırmak için yapıldı. Ancak çok fazla rağbet görmediği için kısa süre sonra kapandı. Ardından burayı birçok kişi ücretsiz olarak kullandı ve maalesef zarar vererek eski halinden eser bırakmadılar. İnsanlar bazen iyi niyete maalesef nankörlük yapabiliyor.

We spent about an hour at the dam. On the way back, despite the hot weather, I hiked to a certain point. It was a bit tiring but it was worth it for the view. When I take annual leave next month, I plan to camp here for a few days. That's all for now. Thank you for reading, see you soon.

Barajın olduğu yerde yaklaşık olarak bir saat vakit geçirdik. Geri dönerken havaların sıcak olmasına rağmen belli bir noktaya kadar kadar yürüyüş yaptım. Biraz yorucu oldu ancak manzara için değerdi. Önümüzdeki ay yıllık izin aldığımda birkaç gün buralarda kamp yapmayı düşünüyorum. Şimdilik bu kadar. Okuduğunuz için teşekkür ederim, görüşmek üzere.
