Day trip to Üsküdar and Ümraniye/ Günübirlik Üsküdar/Ümraniye Gezisi

Hello everyone, I hope you are well and everything is going smoothly. Two weeks ago, my wife and I went on vacation to our hometown, and a few days ago we returned to Istanbul. So we're a little tired and trying to shake it off.
Other than that, everything is fine.

Herkese merhaba, umarım iyisinizdir ve her şey yolundadır. İki hafta önce eşimle birlikte memlekete tatile gittik ve birkaç gün önce tekrardan İstanbul’a döndük. Dolayısıyla biraz yorgunluk var ve üstümüzden atamaya çalışıyoruz.
Onun haricinde her şey yolunda.

Today I'll talk about our day trip to Üsküdar and Ümraniye. A few months ago, on my day off, we first went to Üsküdar to take care of some business and relax. If I remember correctly, the weather was beautiful. Whenever I go to Üsküdar, I always visit the shore. I especially love walking around the area near the Maiden's Tower.

Bugün Üsküdar ve Ümraniye’deki günü birlik gezimizden bahsedeceğim. Bir kaç ay önce izin günümde hem işlerimizi halletmek hem de kafa dinlemek için önce Üsküdar’a geçtik. Yanlış hatırlamıyorsam hava çok güzeldi. Her ne zaman Üsküdar gitsem sahile kesinlikle uğrarım. Özellikle kız kalesinin o taraflarda yürümeyi çok seviyorum.

After walking along the beach, we turned back and entered a municipal establishment. We were lucky to find a free table. It's usually crowded because the prices are quite reasonable and it's a nice place, so you often can't find a seat.
My wife ordered toast and orange juice, and I ordered tea and dessert.

Sahil boyunca yürüdükten sonra tekrar geri döndük ve belediyeye ait bir mekana girdik. Şansımız yerinde olsa gerek boş yer bulduk. Fiyatları oldukça uygun olduğu için ve nezih bir mekan olduğu için genellikle kalabalık oluyor ve yer bulamıyorsunuz.
Eşim tost ve portakal suyu ben de çay ve tatlı siparişi ettim.

We enjoyed our meal accompanied by live piano music. I forgot to take a photo of that moment. I wish I had captured it.
I'd also like to mention the interior of the venue. The ceiling looked quite beautiful, but I couldn't look at it much because I felt dizzy. 😅
One of its eye-catching features was the library.
There were many books both in the restaurant area and in the other section. Those who wanted to read books or study sat in the other section.

Canlı piyano eşliğinde siparişlerimizi tükettik. O anın fotoğrafını çekmeyi unutmuşum. Keşke ölümsüzleştirseydim.
Biraz da mekanın iç kısmından bahsetmek istiyorum. Tavan kısmı oldukça güzel görünüyordu ancak ben başım döndüğü için çok fazla bakamadım. 😅
Göze hitap eden özelliklerinden birisi de kütüphaneydi.
Hem restoran kısmında hem de diğer bölümde birçok kitap vardı. Kitap okuyup ders çalışmak isteyenler diğer bölümde oturuyordu.

After leaving the venue, we took the subway to Ümraniye. After taking care of our business, we met up with friends, hung out for a while, and did some shopping.
As the hour grew later, the weather started to cool down. A municipal exhibition in Ümraniye Square caught my attention. Although I had passed by here many times before, it was the first time I had seen it. Perhaps it had just opened. My wife was more interested, so she wanted to go inside and look around.

Mekandan ayrıldıktan sonra metro ile Ümraniye’ye geçtik işlerimizi hallettikten sonra arkadaşlarla buluşup biraz takıldık ve alışveriş yaptık. Saat biraz ilerledikten sonra hava soğumaya başladı. Ümraniye meydanda bulunan belediyeye ait bir sergi dikkatimi çekti. Daha önce burdan birçok kez geçmeme rağmen ilk defa gördüm. Belkide yeni açılmıştı. Eşimin daha çok dikkatini çektiği için içeriyi gezmek istedi.

The exhibition featured many handmade artworks of various types. They made good use of the small space. According to the information I got from the attendant, these were the works of students attending classes at the education centers. They all looked wonderful. The prices were even cheaper than I had expected. To be honest, if I had made one of these pieces myself, I don't think I would have sold it for so little.

Serginin içerisinde el yapımı ve farklı türde birçok sanat eseri bulunuyordu. Küçük bir alanı değerlendirip iyi iş çıkarmışlar. Görevliden edindiğim bilgiye göre eğitim merkezlerinde ders alanların eserleriymiş. Hepsi de harika görünüyor. Fiyatları ise düşündüğümden daha da ucuzdu. Açık konuşmak gerekirse bu eserlerden birini ben yapmış olsaydım bu kadar ucuza pazarlamazdım sanırım.

After leaving the exhibition, at my friend's insistence, we sat down at a small cafe and had something warm to drink. As it was getting late, we headed home to avoid getting too cold. We packed a lot into one day. We were a little tired, but it was very enjoyable. Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you again.

Sergiden çıktıktan sonra arkadaşın ısrarı üzerine mini bir kafeye oturup sıcak bir şeyler içtik. Saat daha da geç olduktan sonra çok fazla üşümemek için evin yolunu tuttuk. Bir güne birçok şey sığdırdık. Biraz yorulduk ama çok keyifliydi. Okuduğunuz için teşekkür ederim, görüşmek dileğiyle.
