Bosphorus Views from Kadikoy and Dinner/ Kadıköy’den Boğaz Manzaraları ve Akşam Yemeği 🥘

Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Yesterday we went to a restaurant in Fatih for dinner with my friends. Since I left work yesterday morning, I was tired of the day, so I didn't want to go too much. I couldn't sleep much during the day because of the heat. My friends somehow managed to convince me. 😅

Herkese merhaba, umarım iyisinizdir. Dün arkadaşlarla birlikte akşam yemeği için Fatih’te bulunan bir restoranta gittik. Dün sabah işten çıktığım için üzerimde günün yorgunluğu vardı dolayısıyla çok fazla gitme isteği yoktu. Gün içerisinde sıcaklardan dolayı da çok fazla uyuyamamıştım. Arkadaşlarım beni bir şekilde ikna etmeyi başardılar. 😅

We met around 18.00 and set off on motorbikes. If they had asked me to go by car or public transport, I definitely would not have gone. Istanbul traffic is obvious. So much so that it was rush hour. I definitely couldn't drive 1-2 hours just to eat. 😅
Although there is traffic by motorbike, you can move faster. However, it is necessary to be careful.

Saat 18.00 gibi buluşup motorsikletlerle yola çıktık. Arabayla ya da toplu taşıma aracıyla gidelim deseler kesinlikle gitmezdim. İstanbul trafiği ortada. Öyleki tam iş çıkışı saatleriydi. Sadece yemek için 1-2 saat yol kesinlikle çekemezdim. 😅
Motorsikletle trafik olmasına rağmen daha hızlı ilerleyebilirsiniz. Ancak dikkatli olmak gerekiyor.

After reaching Kadıköy pier, we waited for about 15 minutes for the car ferry. After paying 60 Turkish liras per vehicle, we boarded the ferry and parked the motorbikes in the exit direction. I have travelled by ferry many times before, but this was my first time on a ferry. The crowd of people was replaced by cars, motorbikes and other vehicles.

Kadıköy iskelesine ulaştıktan sonra yaklaşık 15 dakika arabalı feribot bekledik. Araç başına 60 Türk lirası ödedikten sonra vapura binip motorları çıkış yönüne park ettik. Daha önce birçok kez vapurla yolculuk yaptım ancak ilk kez feribota bindim. İnsan kalabalığının yerini arabalar, motorsikletler ve diğer araçlar alıyordu.

We went to the first floor of the ferry as the view looked better on the upper floor. There were many people watching the sea, taking photos, trying to enjoy the moment. I both watched the view and took many photos. I really like the Bosphorus view of Istanbul. The sound of the sea and the seagulls give you peace. I can say that I relieved the tiredness of the day here.

Feribotun üst katında manzara daha güzel göründüğü için birinci katına çıktık. Denizi izleyen, fotoğraf çeken, anın tadını çıkarmaya çalışan birçok insan vardı. Hem manzarayı izledim hem de çok sayıda fotoğraf çektim. İstanbul’un boğaz manzarasını gerçekten seviyorum. Deniz sesi, martılar insana huzur veriyor. Günün yorgunluğunu burada attım diyebilirim.

After 20 minutes the ferry reached the pier in Eminönü. We got on the motorbikes again and travelled through the heavy traffic. One of my favourite aspects of the motorbike is to take photos comfortably during the journey. I took some of the photos I shared while I was on the motorbike. Of course, I wasn't driving the motorbike 😅

20 dakika sonra feribot Eminönü’ndeki iskeleye ulaştı. Tekrardan motorlara binip yoğun trafiğin arasından ilerledik. Motorun en sevdiğim yönlerinden birisi yolculuk esnasında rahat rahat fotoğraf çekebilmek. Paylaştığım fotoğrafların bir kısmını motorsiklet üzerindeyken çekmiştim. Tabi motoru ben kullanmıyordum. 😅

Around 19.00, we reached the restaurant that our friends had visited before. Except for a few tables, the place was empty. Since I had not eaten here before, I trusted the taste buds of my friends and ordered the same as their order. Firstly, we ordered Samsa and Noodle roast, one of the famous dishes of Uzbek culture.

Saat 19.00 gibi arkadaşların daha önce uğradığı restoranta ulaştık. Birkaç masa hariç içerisi boştu. Daha önce burada yemek yemediğim için arkadaşların damak tadına güvenerek onların siparişinin aynısınından verdim. İlk olarak Özbek kültürünün meşhur yemeklerinden biri olan Samsa ve Erişte kavurması söyledik.

Since there was mutton in the samsa, it had an intense flavour and smelled a bit. To be honest, I didn't like it very much. I even had to leave some of it. I didn't want to force it because my stomach is a bit sensitive.
I loved the roasted noodles. It was very good. It is very similar to pasta in our culture. The harmony of meat, paprika, green pepper and noodles was very good. The special spices added a different flavour to the dish. It was worth the journey. 😅
The prices were quite affordable according to the neighbourhood. I paid 350 Turkish lira for samsa, roasted noodles and a drink.

Samsa içerisinde koyun eti olduğu için yoğun bir tadı vardı ve biraz da kokuyordu. Açık konuşmak gerekirse çok fazla beğenmedim. Hatta bir kısmını bırakmak durumunda kaldım. Midem biraz hassas olduğu için zorlamak istemedim.
Erişte kavurmasına ise bayıldım. Çok güzeldi. Bizim kültürdeki makarnaya çok benziyor. Et, papya biber, yeşil biber ve erişte uyumu çok iyiydi. Özel baharatıda yemeğe ayrı bir tat katmıştı. O kadar yolu çektiğimize değdi. 😅
Fiyatlarıda bulunduğu semte göre oldukça uygundu. Samsa, Erişte kavurması ve bir içeceğe 350 Türk lirası ödedim.

After we had dinner, we quickly planned a quick game of okey. It was never even in our minds. After we had dinner, we drank tea and went to the Anatolian side for okey. We played okey until 23.00 p.m. It was an active day for me, but it was very enjoyable. I discovered new flavours and had a short Bosphorus tour.

Yemek yedikten sonra hızlı bir şekilde okey planı yaptık. Hiç aklımızda bile yoktu. Yemeği yedikten sonra çay içip okey için Anadolu yakasına geçtik. Saat 23.00’a kadar okey oynadık. Benim için hareketli bir gündü ama çok keyifliydi. Yeni lezzetler keşfedip kısa süreli de olsa boğaz turu yaptım.
