ANAMUR TOUR; ANCIENT CITY / ANAMUR TURU; ANTİK KENT 🏰

Hello everyone,
In this post, I will talk about our trip to Mersin's Anamur district. Together with my friends, we have been organizing day trips regularly for about 4-5 years. In previous years, we usually went to Alanya. This year we preferred Anamur. Our journey started at 7.00 on Monday morning and we arrived in Anamur around 9.30. After a nice breakfast, we moved to the famous beach of Bozyazı. Since it was early, the beach was not very crowded.

Bu postta Mersin'in Anamur ilçesine gerçekleştirdiğimiz geziden bahsedeceğim. Arkadaşlarla birlikte yaklaşık 4-5 yıldır düzenli olarak günübirlik gezi düzenleriz. Önceki yıllarda genellikle Alanya tarafına giderdik. Bu sene ise Anamur'u tercih ettik. Pazartesi sabah saat 7.00 gibi yolculuğumuz başladı ve 9.30 gibi Anamur'a ulaştık. Güzel bir kahvaltının ardından Bozyazı'nın meşhur plajına hareket ettik. Erken saatler olduğu için plaj çok kalabalık değildi.

After spending about two hours in the sea, we took a tour of Bozyazı when we were little and went back to the same beach and swam until 15.00. After we got out of the sea, we moved to Anamur again. After having lunch in a nice restaurant, we moved to the Ancient City where I shared the photos. I have been coming and going to Anamur for many years, but I have never had the opportunity to visit these beautiful places.

Yaklaşık iki saat denizde zaman geçirdikten sonra küçükken bir Bozyazı turu gerçekleştirdik ve yine tekrar aynı plaja gidip saat 15.00'e kadar yüzdük. Denizden çıktıktan sonra tekrardan Anamur'a hareket ettik. Güzel bir restaurantta öğle yemeği yedikten sonra fotoğraflarını paylaştığım Antik Kente hareket ettik. Uzun yıllardır Anamur'a gelip giderim ancak bir türlü bu güzel yerleri gezme fırsatım olmamıştı.

Approximately 15 minutes later, we reached the ancient city. They charged us 50 Turkish liras per person for the entrance fee. At first we thought that the amount was too much, but after we went inside, we changed our minds. The area was so large that we had a hard time deciding where to start the trip. We left the part with the sea to the last stage and started to visit the places with historical buildings first.

Yaklaşık olarak 15 dakika sonra Antik Kente ulaştık. Giriş ücreti olarak bizden kişi başı 50 Türk lirası talep ettiler. İlk başta miktarın çok olduğunu düşünsekte içeriye girdikten sonra fikrimiz değişti. Alan o kadar genişti ki geziye nerden başlayacağımıza karar vermekte zorlandık. Denizin olduğu kısmı son aşamaya bırakıp öncelikle tarihi yapıların olduğu yerleri gezmeye başladık.

Despite the extremely hot weather, there were a considerable number of visitors in the region. The interior of the historical buildings was quite remarkable. It did not escape my attention that almost all the doors and windows faced the sea. Although the interior of the buildings is quite complex, they were built with great skill. It is really impossible not to be impressed.

Havanın aşırı sıcak olmasına rağmen bölgede azımsanmayacak miktarda ziyaretçi vardı. Tarihi yapıların içerisi oldukça dikkat çekiciydi. Hemen hemen bütün kapı ve pencerelerin denize bakması dikkatimden kaçmadı. Yapıların içi oldukça karmaşık olmasına rağmen harika bir ustalıkla yapılmış. Gerçekten etkilenmemek mümkün değil.

The walls extend upwards but we couldn't go up because there are no stairs, roads, etc. I hope the authorities will take this into consideration and take the necessary steps as soon as possible. Some of the buildings were locked so we couldn't go inside, we could only watch through the iron bars. After visiting the historical buildings, we moved towards the sea.

Surlar yukarıya doğru uzanıyor ancak herhangi bir merdiven, yol vs olmadığı için yukarıya çıkamadık. Umarım yetkililer bir an önce bu durumu göz önünde bulundurup gerekli adımları atarlar. Bazı yapılar kilitli olduğu için iç kısımlarına giremedik. Demir parmaklıkların arasından izlemekle yetindik. Tarihi yapıları gezdikten sonra denizin olduğu kısma doğru hareket ettik.

There was a wonderful view including the road to the sea. It did not escape our eyes that the sea in the region was like a sheet and clean. We even regretted that we chose Bozyazı instead of this place to swim in the sea. However, we discovered a new place. We plan to come here again in the coming years.

Denize uzanan yol dahil harika bir manzara vardı. Bölgedeki denizin çarşaf gibi ve temiz olması gözümüzden kaçmadı. Hatta denize girmek için burayı değilde Bozyazı'yı tercih ettiğimiz için pişman olduk. Ancak yeni bir yer keşfetmiş olduk. Önümüzdeki yıllarda buraya tekrardan gelmeyi düşünüyoruz.

We spent so much time in the ancient city that I didn't even realize how fast the time passed. I even got blisters on both of my feet from walking and sightseeing. With the effect of the heat, I started to feel unbearable pain. Thanks to my friend, he treated the blisters on my feet with a small operation.

Antik kentte o kadar çok vakit geçirdik ki zamanın hızlı geçtiğini anlayamadım bile. Hatta yürümekten, gezmekten iki ayağımda su topladı. Sıcağın etkisiyle birlikte dayanılmaz bir acı hissetmeye başladım. Arkadaşım sağ olsun küçük bir operasyonla ayaklarımda ki su toplayan kısımları tedavi etti.

After leaving the part where the sea is, we started to visit the structures below. Over the years, the structures started to fall down and collapse. Frankly speaking, I think that these structures should be restored because the region may be deprived of these structures in the coming years.

Denizin olduğu kısımdan ayrıldıktan sonra alt kısımda bulunan yapıları gezmeye başladık. Yıllar geçtikçe yapılar dökülmeye, yıkılmaya başlamış. Açıkçası bu yapıların restore işleminden geçmesi gerektiğini düşünüyorum. Çünkü ilerleyen yıllarda bölge bu yapılardan mahrum kalabilir.

There is no market etc. in the area where the ancient part is located or even in the immediate vicinity. Therefore, if you come here, bring the things you may need with you. Especially do not neglect to buy water. In addition, it is forbidden to light a fire in the region, but you can have a small picnic. For those who want to visit these places, the name of the region is Anamur / Oren Ancient City.

Antik kısmın olduğu bölgede hatta yakın çevresinde herhangi bir market vs bulunmuyor. Dolayısıyla buralara yolunuz düşerse ihtiyaç duyabileceğiniz şeyleri yanınızda getirin. Özellikle su almayı kesinlikle ihmal etmeyin. Bunun yanında bölgede ateş yakmak yasak ancak küçük çaplı piknik yapabilirsiniz. Buraları ziyaret etmek isteyenler için bölgenin ismi Anamur/Ören Antik Kent.

After saying goodbye to the ancient city, we moved to the district center again. Since we didn't have cold water with us, we bought cold coke and water and consumed it. After visiting "İskele", a famous beach of Anamur, we moved to our hometown before it was too late. We reached the district around 21.30 in the evening.

Antik kente veda ettikten sonra tekrardan ilçe merkezine hareket ettik. Yanımızda soğuk su olmadığı için soğuk kola ve su alıp tükettik. Anamur'un meşhur bir plajı olan "İskele'yi" de gezdikten sonra çok geç olmadan memlekete hareket ettik. Akşam saat 21.30 gibi ilçeye ulaştık.
