Splinterlands: Between Survival and Collapse

Hello everyone, I hope you are well.
I've recently read many articles discussing Splinterlands and concerns about the game's collapse. This is due, they say, to the policies pursued by the developers.
The market value of cards is undeniably declining, and despite this decline, card printing continues. This is one of the negative points agreed upon by some players and interested observers.
The fluctuating price of SPS and DEC tokens has made many investments unprofitable. A simple reading of the data reveals that the most affected are older players who invested huge sums in the game during its peak, and they are now feeling the loss.
The game's developers have implemented some changes and solutions, but players see them as patchwork solutions that do not address the fundamental problems, such as attracting new players or raising the market's value to prevent a collapse.
This discussion leads us to a gap between the game's management and the community, as some feel the team is focusing on employee salaries and administrative continuity more than developing the game innovatively and attracting new players.
But despite all this, the game is still resilient. In my opinion, this is due to the presence of... A vibrant and strong community surrounds the game, and the game is constantly adding updates. There are active players daily. Another reason for the game's continued success is its complex economic system. Even if prices weaken, the game is built on foundations that are difficult to collapse immediately. The game's project is sustainable, unlike Pump & Dump projects.
Splinterlands is one of the first blockchain games, and this alone is enough to give it a reputation, experience, and sustainability compared to new competitors. It has strong, long-standing partnerships and backing.
Ultimately, we don't deny that there are serious concerns about the current administration, and some solutions seem short-term. However, it is unlikely that the game will suddenly collapse. Perhaps worse will happen, and this is what we don't want: the game entering a prolonged stagnation.
The solution lies in the developers' ability to attract real new players, reduce card and prize inflation, and increase the value of tokens or create real uses for them. In addition, they should create new innovations, such as mobile games, to attract new players and improve market value.
