Success Is the Courage to Keep Going

HELLO EVERYONE

When someone asks me, “How do you define success?” I do not answer with riches, cars, or mansions. I answer with one word: courage. Success to me is the courage to keep chasing your dreams even when everything around you is trying to break you.

Let me explain.

I come from a background where life is not easy. Many of us were born into poverty, where even daily food can sometimes be a battle. You see young people full of dreams, but the country’s economy crushes them. Jobs are scarce, education is expensive, and insecurity makes people live in fear. Sometimes, you feel like no matter how hard you try, the world is waiting to push you down.

But here is the truth success is, not about never falling. Success is about refusing to stay on the ground when you fall. Success is when you keep moving forward even if it’s slow. Success is when you wake up every morning and decide not to give up on yourself, despite what society says.

I once saw a young man in my area who had nothing. He lost his father early, his mother struggled to feed the family, and he almost dropped out of school. But every day, he kept reading, learning, and pushing himself. Today, he may not be rich, but he is building his life step by step. To me, that is success, the courage not to give up, even when the road is rough.

This is what I have learned:

Success is personal: It is not about what others think of you. It is about reaching the dream you carry in your heart.

Success is sacrifice: You may have to suffer, wait, and endure things that others will never understand.

Success is discipline: Staying focused even when distraction and hardship surround you.

Success is growth: Becoming better every day, even if it’s just one small step forward.

Success is peace: Reaching a point where you are proud of your journey, not just your results.

So, my honest take is this: success is not only measured by money or titles. It is measured by the dream you achieve despite the battles you fought. Success is when you rise from a poor background, survive the hardship of your country, and still refuse to let go of your hope.

My advice to anyone reading this is simple: do not give up. The road will be hard. People may doubt you, and life may test you, but if you keep holding on, your little steps will become your victory.

That is how I define success.
