A Soldier's Return.

With medals on his chest,
He comes home.
Anxious to get home,
His heart beats harder.
Anticipation wrecks him.

His duty done,
His battles fought
But still,
Anticipation to be in the arms, where he belongs,
Keeps him unsettled.

Eventually he's back to her, where he belongs.
Eyes filled with tears of joy,
His hands itched,
To memorize every inch of her.

Through all his fights,
Her love was his strength.
His memories of her kept him afloat,
And now his soul, she'll make divine

His arms opened, wide to her.
She came into them looking vibrant.
Their hearts beats, as one
Their love, stronger than before.

His kisses, passionate and strong.
His is home now, where his heart belongs.
With her, his love,
His heart, until his last breath.
