We do help others in our life at some point and sometimes we do need something in return and sometimes we don't want anything back in return. In my opinion, if you are something for others and do have some kind of intention to get something in return then that is not really a good thing in my opinion. Because when we do something in return most of the time we do have to face disappointment. The thing is if you did get disappointed by anything then it is going to be hard to feel better for a while.
So if you want to help someone then just do it don't think too much about that but what will be the benefit of it or what you will get in return is only gonna waste your time so the best thing you can do is just do it don't think too much.

From my childhood days, I used to love helping others I could help my parents at home or help my friends and other things. When I was in college after a few semesters I used to visit my college regularly If you do follow me then I am sure you do know that already right You don't have a problem. There are so many benefits if you do visit your college regularly the first thing is everyone in the class does recognize you. If you keep your notes up to date then that is a win-win situation for you.
I used to be an introvert kind of person which I still do but I am trying my best to overcome that slowly. But it is not going to happen in a snip of a finger right? So things do take time to Shaitan I used to think a lot which I still do but now why do think about less than I used to think earlier in my opinion? Try to make things simple if you like something then appreciate it don't think about the consequences. Because if you start thinking about the results it is gonna make things more complex Just do it that's all and let it go.
Actually, I used to be one of those guys at my college, although I was not that much friendly with everyone that doesn't mean I used to fight a lot 😬. I used to still be primarily silent. I did become kind of popular among my classmates because I used to visit college regularly and the second reason was I used to keep my notes up to date. So most of the time my notebooks you are not with me at all. I used to study with my friends before examinations that did helped me a lot too.
One of my friends got selected for a government job and unfortunately, he didn't get enough time to focus on his studies but he wanted to pass the examination so he took me I used to study with him before my tests it was good for me now and it was good for him too. Most of my friends passed the examinations and I was also happy about that. 2002 study with me that it appreciated me for helping them. But one of my friends wanted to give me money for that which was like a surprise to me and it did make the situation awkward for a while.
I was not expecting anything like that and I was not prepared for that kind of thing at all. Although I did manage to refuse to take any money from him but he did gift me a pair of shoes. Not sure about them where they are now but I did feel a bit awkward about that what do you think? Now it's been more than 8 years but still I do remember if you think now I don't remember anything at all about my studies now most of the time I do think about work, work, and work. What about you?

I think it's wonderful that you care and that you genuinely help people. Not because you expect anything in return but because it's just in your nature to help. To show love. To care and to be grateful. I don't have a lot to offer people but if I can put a smile on someone's face everyday, it's enough to make me feel content. Of course,the more people you do that for, the happier you are.🌺
It's really good to help people, the rewards might not come immediately and directly from them but later in life you will eat from it. I love your idea of not receiving money from the friend after giving him some help. We shouldn't help with the idea of getting something in return, it doesn't sound normal at all, except if you are prepared for disappointments...
I believe in this too. I believe that whenever we are doing things for people, we should do it wit a free mind. Expecting something in return means that you didn't do the thing with all your heart.
Just like yourself, I prefer being introverted sometimes as it saves me from so much trouble.
Getting a pair of shoes for you may have been a little awkward but I think your friend was only trying to show his appreciation to you.

That's good not to expect something in return when helping in return but sometimes some people are so ungrateful that they start to act like they have done a favor to us by receiving help while the thing is almost opposite. I don't like that kind of attitude also even if I don't expect anything in return.
