Budgeting for Birthdays, Anniversaries & Festivals: A Practical Guide
Whenever a festival or a special day comes around, be it a birthday, your parents' birthday, their anniversary, or your own, everyone has some sort of program in mind. Some people prefer to celebrate it simply, while others prefer a grand celebration. Some spend a lot on these parties, but others organise a grand party on a budget, or they simply invite their family members to celebrate. Everyone spends according to their budget and location. In the past, birthdays used to only involve small children or a small crowd. However, now things are changing, and people are setting up large tents and booking large houses for their birthdays. Seeing this, others are also starting to do the same. Look, no matter who the person is, everyone decides their budget according to their celebration plan. Some people even save a lot of money for their own birthday so that they can give a good treat to other people or if you go somewhere for a trip, you plan for that too in advance.

So, the bottom line is that everyone plans their events based on their budget and their financial situation. Some people over-budget their parties or celebrations, which only causes them harm. Speaking of myself, I consider myself quite fortunate in all these things, and I'm quite sorted. Whenever I have to throw a party, I save money in advance. If I think my expenses are going to be high, I prepare in advance, so I don't feel overwhelmed. Mehndi is a simple thing. If you think you're going to spend a certain amount in a particular month, then divide it up and start saving gradually. If you try to invest or spend that much in a particular month, it might throw a wrench in your monthly budget.
But on the contrary, if you plan all these things, then things become much easier for you. If you can do this, then you do not face any kind of problem, and you do not have to compromise so much in whatever celebration you want to do, nor do you need to take a loan from anyone, nor do you need to bow down to anyone. Look, in India, if you want to celebrate even with very little money, then you can have a very good celebration, but nowadays people have started living a life of show-off, due to which many things have started changing, and their budget also gets disturbed.

My only plan is that whenever there is any celebration, I prepare for it well in advance, especially in the matter of money. If I feel that I will need more money for this party or any celebration, then I start saving it well in advance so that it does not affect me much. Actually, to be honest, it is very important to have multiple sources of income; in such a situation, you do not have to remain dependent on just one source. If one of your sources is not very useful, then you become dependent on the other source due to there is not much burden on you.

I believe that, beyond the money spent, the most important thing is to celebrate with truly special people who accompany you, where everyone can smile and share a truly unforgettable day because of the energy they give each other.
There are some cost which is unexpected but in maximum cases cost are not unexpected. If we plan from the earlier time, such a thing is not a issue for us to handle but most of us don't bother ourselves and suffer for it.

Hello @bhattg
You are right in the post that when we make any plan, it becomes successful because we prepare in advance. Similarly, when we save, we remain tension free. After we celebrate, we should not feel burdened by that celebration. The work done through planning is successful.
