Our New Year's Celebration (ENG/SPA)
Hello, internet people, how's it going? I'm finally able to write this post about celebrating New Year's with my family, which was quiet but fun.
Hola, gente de internet ¿todo bien? Recién puedo hacer este post sobre la celebración de año nuevo con mi familia la cual fue tranquila pero divertida
We got together as usual for dinner (a Venezuelan Christmas dinner), drank ponche crema and chatted, as well as playing games to pass the time. My mum made her speciality, pumpkin cake, and it was absolutely delicious. I love it, it's one of my favourite desserts, and everyone enjoyed it.
Nos reunimos como de costumbre a cenar (cena navideña venezolana) beber ponche crema y platicar además de hacer juegos para pasar el tiempo. Mi mamá hizo su especialidad "torta de calabaza" y estaba sumamente rica. Me fascina, es de mis postres preferidos, a todo el mundo le gustó
We usually heard the countdown chimes on the radio, but lately we haven't been doing that, and in fact this year it took us by surprise because we started playing stop and lost track of time, and we realised it was because of the fireworks and the cheers of the people in the street, and it was very funny. In fact, we also made video calls to our relatives who live abroad.
Usualmente oíamos las campanadas dela cuenta regresiva en el radio, pero últimamente no lo hacemos y de hecho este año nos tomó por sorpresa porque nos pusimos a jugar stop y se nos pasó la hora y nos dimos cuenta por los cohetes y los gritos de jubilo de la gente en la calle y fue muy gracioso, de hecho también hicimos videollamadas con los familiares que tenemos fuera
We really had a good time with the family, ate delicious food, played games and joked around a lot. With all the ups and downs that life has brought to my country and everything, every family gathering is quite important and we value them greatly :3
La verdad pasamos un buen rato con la familia, comimos rico y jugamos y bromeamos bastante. Con la idas y vueltas que ha dado la vida en mi pais y todo eso cada reunión familiar es bastante importante y las valoramos mucho :3
