Kimetsu No Yaiba [Damon Slayer] Anime Review (ESP/ENG)
Some time ago I started watching this anime but I had stopped watching it and recently I took it up again, in fact I have advanced a lot. It is an anime based on a manga version that was written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge and although in some ways it reminded me of Naruto, it does have differences, I mean Kimetsu No Yaiba, or as it is known internationally “Damon Slayer”.
Hace tiempo yo empecé a ver este anime pero había dejado de verlo y recientemente lo retome, de hecho he avanzado mucho. Es un anime basado en una versión manga que fue escrito e ilustrado por Koyoharu Gotōge y aunque de cierta manera me recordó a Naruto, sí que tiene diferencias, me refiero a Kimetsu No Yaiba, o como se le conoce de forma internacional "Damon Slayer"
The anime tells us the life of Tanjiro, a young farmer who one day arrives home and finds a real massacre, his family was savagely attacked by a demon. The only one left alive was his sister Netzuko, but unfortunately she was turned into a demon, from that moment Tanjiro's life took a 180 degree turn as he begins to work hard to become a demon hunter while keeping his sister safe and trying to find a solution for her to become human again. However, she is different from the other demons because although sometimes we can see her wild side, most of the time she works together with her brother to fight evil.
El anime nos cuenta la vida de Tanjiro, un jovencito granjero quien un día llega a su casa y encuentra una verdadera masacre, su familia fue atacada salvajemente por un demonio. La única que quedó viva fue su hermana Netzuko, pero lamentablemente quedó convertida en un demonio, a partir de ese momento la vida de Tanjiro dio un giro de 180 grados ya que comienza a trabajar duro para convertirse en un cazador de demonios mientras mantiene resguardada a su hermana e intenta encontrar una solución para ella vuelva a ser humana. No obstante ella es diferente a los demás demonios porque aunque en ocasiones podemos ver su lado salvaje, la mayor parte del tiempo trabaja en conjunto con su hermano para combatir el mal.
What Tanjiro reminds me of Naruto is the fact that despite being a hero, having so much talent and skills, he is a noble being, in fact he shows compassion for the demons once he defeats them, because he recognizes their individuality and above all the fact that they were once human and had dreams, he also has high moral codes and a great sense of belonging that motivates him to improve every day. This anime also shows you that success is not acquired out of nowhere, by magic, but is the result of much practice and effort, the fights let us see the ferocity of the villains and make it clear that they will not be easy, however teamwork predominates because Tanjiro never works alone, which brings me to the next point.
En lo que Tanjiro me recuerda a Naruto es el hecho de que a pesar de ser un héroe, de tener tanto talento y habilidades, él es un ser noble, de hecho muestra compasión por los demonios una vez que los vence, porque reconoce su individualidad y sobre todo el hecho de que alguna vez fueron humanos y tuvieron sueños, él además tiene altos códigos morales y un gran sentido de pertenencia que lo motiva a mejorar cada día. Este anime además te muestra que el éxito no se adquiere de la nada, por arte de magia, sino que es el resultado de mucha práctica y esfuerzos, los combates dejan ver la ferocidad de los villanos y nos dejan claro que no serán fáciles, sin embargo el trabajo en equipo predomina porque Tanjiro nunca trabaja solo, lo que me lleva al siguiente punto.
Honestly it's hard for me to choose between the characters and say which one is my favorite because they all have a special touch, for example while Tanjiro is a bit more mature and analytical, Inosuke and Zenitsu are the comic relief we need in the middle of the intense battles, however they are equally committed to the cause. 😂 🤣 I still remember how I laughed the first time I saw Zenitsu fight for real and find out that he only displayed his best skills once he goes into a trance (it's something very original) But if I had to choose a character I think it would be Netzuko, because she is tender and noble, she really inspires me a lot of tenderness most of the time 🤗 but she can become ruthless if someone hurts her brother. She appreciates what he does for her, and despite her condition she doesn't become a useless burden, but a complement when Tanjiro needs it the most.
Honestamente me es difícil elegir entre los personajes y decir cuál es mi favorito porque todos tienen un toque especial, por ejemplo mientras Tanjiro es un poco más maduro y analítico, Inosuke y Zenitsu son el alivio cómico que necesitamos en medio de las intensas batallas, sin embargo ellos están igualmente comprometidos con la causa. 😂 🤣 Todavía recuerdo como me reí la primera vez que vi a Zenitsu pelear en serio y descubrir que solo desplegaba sus mejores habilidades una vez que entra en trance (es algo muy original) Pero si tuviese que elegir un personaje creo que sería Netzuko, porque ella es tierna y noble, de verdad me inspira muchísima ternura la mayoría del tiempo 🤗 pero puede volverse implacable si alguien le hace daño a su hermano. Ella agradece lo que él hace por ella, y a pesar de su condición no se vuelve una carga inútil, sino un complemento cuando Tanjiro más lo necesita.
The only thing that maybe I don't like a lot is that some plots or arcs become extremely long and tedious, like the battle with the 6th crescent moon, at the beginning it was great but little by little it became longer, we even discovered that she had a brother, anyway what I did like to see was the memory of when they were human, almost always it's usually something painful, but precisely is when Tanjiro lets his empathy come to the surface.
Lo único que quizá no me gusta mucho es que algunas tramas o arcos se vuelven extremadamente largos y tediosos, como la batalla con la 6ta luna creciente, al inicio fue genial pero poco a poco se fue volviendo más larga, incluso descubrimos que ella tenía un hermano, de todo modos lo que sí me gustó ver fue el recuerdo de cuando ellos eran humanos, casi siempre suele ser algo doloroso, pero precisamente es cuando Tanjiro deja aflorar su empatía.
And of course I can't forget to mention Muzan Kibutsuji because I love his style, he's great, he reminds me a little bit of Michael Jackson in Smooth Criminal, don't you think? But despite his panache and sensuality this character is perverse, manipulative and extremely cruel, he is an almost perfect villain and very cunning.
Y por supuesto no puedo dejar de mencionar a Muzan Kibutsuji ya que me encanta su estilo, es genial, me recuerda un poco a Michael Jackson en Smooth Crminal ¿no lo creen ustedes? Pero a pesar de su garbo y sensualidad este personaje es perverso, manipulador y extremadamente cruel, es un villano casi perfecto y muy astuto.

If I am to pick a favourite character, it will have to be Tengen Uzui, that guy was so flashy 😘, pun intended. Even though he is not at his full strength in the Hashira arc, his training regimen is still superb.

This anime was great, I really like the brothers love for his sister it reminds me of my siblings how much I love them and would do anything for them, the story is heart touching.

Demon* Slayer es un anime que me gustó bastante, de los primeros que me he visto cuando empecé a adentrarme más en esta industria. La mezcla de drama con comedia, acción y fantasía es fascinante. Consigue enganchar al espectador con cada arco, cada introducción de cada antagonista o enemigo, cada desarrollo de personajes que se muestra y cada batalla es fascinante. La animación, ni se diga más, Ufotable demuestra su superioridad con una excelente combinación de 2D con 3D que me gusta bastante (la única obra japonesa con la que usan animación en 3D que me ha gustado hasta ahora). De los mejores animes de acción y drama que he visto, la verdad.
