I Went to a Lgtbq+ disco to Watch the Election of Their Beauty Queen (ESP/ENG)
Hello, internet people, everything ok? On Saturday I was very happy and had a lot of fun because I went with my friends and my boyfriend to a lgtbq+ disco in my city, the most prestigious and biggest of its kind and we went specifically to see the "Miss Chillout" contest. As I was very excited to see the event I went with great expectations
Hola, gente de Internet ¿todo bien? El sábado estuve muy contenta y me divertí mucho porque fui con mis amigos y mi novio a una disco lgtbq+ de mi ciudad, la más prestigiosa y grande de este tipo, y fuimos específicamente a ver el certamen de la "Señorita Chillout" Como me entusiasmaba bastante ver el evento fui con grandes expectativas.
First of all I want to say is that, the photos of the contest came out small because they are captures of the videos I took (my phone doesn't have good resolution at night so I did my best, please understand :/).
Lo primero que debo decir es que las fotos del certamen salieron pequeñas porque son capturas de los videos que hice (mi teléfono no tiene buena resolución de noche, así que hice lo que pude, entiéndame por favor :/)
Among the girls in the pageant there were gay guys and trans girls, and my first impression was how beautiful they looked and they all looked just like women and also extremely beautiful, like typical miss. My second impression was how beautiful their dresses were and according to one of my friends (both of them are gay and were the ones who invited me and my boyfriend) some of them had made their evening gowns themselves which surprised me a lot as it was definitely haute couture.
Entre las chicas del certamen habían chicos gay y chicas trans, y mi primera impresión fue lo guapas que se veían, y es que sin dudas todas se veían tal cual como mujeres y además, sumamente hermosas, como las típicas mises. Mi segunda impresión fue lo preciosos que eran sus vestidos y según uno de mis amigos (ambos son gays y fueron los que nos invitaron a mi y a mi novio) algunas de ellas habían hecho sus vestidos de noche ellas mismas, lo que me sorprendió mucho ya que se trata sin duda alguna de alta costura.
As I understood it, in the past weeks they had a swimming costume and talent show parade, so they were scoring points. On the day we went there was a gala parade and coronation. The dresses, as I said, were beautiful as were the girls, they were very elegant and had a lot of panache, I enjoyed watching them parade. After the parade a group of 7 finalists were chosen and the awards of "Miss Personality", "Miss Friendship" and others of that type were given out.
Según entendí en las semanas pasadas hicieron desfile de traje de baño y de show de talentos, con eso iban sumando puntos. En ese día que fuimos era desfile de gala y coronación. Los vestidos, como dije, eran hermoso igual que las chicas, eran muy elegantes y tenían mucho garbo, disfruté de verlas desfilar. Después del desfile se eligió a un grupo de 7 finalistas y se entregaron los reconocimientos de "señorita personalidad" "señorita amistad" entre otros de ese tipo.
The question round was very interesting and I thought all the contestants answered very well. The questions were along the lines of "If you were to be queen what would you ask of the discotheque?" or "As queen and representative of the community queen in the city what would you bring to the community?" and the answers, as I said, were very good. The favourite girl was number 4 but as far as answers go I liked number 11 (the girl with the yellow dress and curly hair) better.
La ronda de preguntas fue muy interesante y pienso que todas las concursantes respondieron muy bien. Las preguntas fueron del tipo "Si quedaras reina que le pedirías a la discoteca" o "Como reina y representante de la reina de la comunidad en la ciudad ¿Qué aportarías a la comunidad?" Y las respuestas, como dije, fueron muy buenas. La chica favorita era la número 4 pero en cuanto a respuesta me gustó más la de la número 11 (la chica del vestido amarillo y cabello rizado)
In the end the crowd's favourite contestant, girl number 4, won and was presented with the crown by the previous Miss Chillout and my favourite, her name is Anastasia and she is extremely beautiful. We were eating on the terrace at the moment of the crowning and we couldn't run inside to see it (that's why I don't have any pictures) but I'll leave you the picture of the winner and Anastasia:
Al final ganó la participante favorita de la gente, la chica numero 4 y le entregó la corona la anterior señorita Chillout y mi favorita, se llama Anastasia y es sumamente hermosa. Estábamos comiendo en la terraza al momento de la coronación y no pudimos correr adentro a verlo (por eso no tengo fotos) pero les dejaré la foto de la ganadora y de Anastasia:
After the contest, we got to dance (it was a lot of fun) and we also took pictures with one of the Drags.
Después del certamen, nos pusimos a bailar (fue muy divertido) además también nos tomamos fotos con una de las Drags
It was a really fun night out that I was able to share with my friends and my boyfriend and the good thing is that the disco closes in the morning so if you arrive late you can still have hours of fun, as in our case we left work at 2:40 pm 😅 But in short, it was really one of the best nights out I've ever had.
La verdad fue una salida muy divertida que pude compartir con mis amigos y mi novio, y lo bueno es que la disco cierra en la mañana, así que si llegas tarde igual puedes tener horas de diversión, como nuestro caso que salimos del trabajo a las 2:40 pm 😅 Pero en resumen, de verdad fue una de las mejores salidas nocturnas que he tenido.
