Home Bathroom Renovations (ENG/SPA)
Hello, people of the Internet. For those of you who know my sister, you will know that we are doing some renovations at home. As of today most of the work has been done, however there were a few details to iron out that we could do ourselves. Part of this was painting the window frames and the bathroom door, as well as the door itself, so that is the process I will be talking about today.
Hola, gente de Internet. Para los que conocen a mi hermana, sabrán que en casa estamos haciendo algunas remodelaciones. A día de hoy la mayoría del trabajo está hecho, sin embargo había algunos detalles que pulir y que podíamos hacer nosotros mismos. Parte de esto era pintar los marcos de la ventana y la puerta del baño, así como la misma puerta en sí, por lo tanto hoy les hablaré de este proceso.
I started by placing masking tape around the area I wanted to paint, this way I avoided accidents and the result would be much neater, I also used a paintbrush instead of a brush because the area was very thin.
Empecé colocando cinta de enmascarar alrededor de la zona que quería pintar, así evitaba accidentes y el resultado sería mucho más prolijo, además empleé un pincel en vez de una brocha porque la zona era muy delgada.
I also painted the window grille, it was a bit difficult due to the position, but it looked good. This was the final result.
También pinté la reja de la ventana, me costó un poco debido a la posición, sin embargo quedó bien. Este fue el resultado final
Since we were going to paint the arches black, we wanted to make the doors contrast so we chose white for them (I started with the bathroom door, which is the one that corresponds to this post) so I started by applying several layer of paint, waiting for the paint to dry between each layer.
Ya que pintaríamos los arcos de negro, queríamos hacer que las puertas tuvieran contraste, así que para ellas elegimos blanco (empecé por la del baño y es la que corresponde a este post) así que empecé poniendo varias capas de pintura, esperando que se secara la pintura entre cada capa.
And well, finally this is how it turned out. I thought it would take me less time but between layer and layer of paint I had to wait a reasonable amount of time so it took me longer than I thought, even so, I really liked the result.
Y bueno, finalmente es así como quedó. Pensé que me llevaría menos tiempo pero entre aplicar capas y capas de pintura había que esperar un tiempo prudencial, así que me tomó más tiempo del que creía, aún así, me gustó mucho el resultado.

Tengo la experiencia de pintar con el esmalte y no es nada fácil, y te digo que esta puerta quedó genial. Me tocará pintar mucho con esmalte. Te felicito por esa entrega para dedicar tiempo a mejorar tus espacios.
