Exploring a new place with my sister [ESP/ENG]
Hello, internet people! How are you? A few days ago, my sister and I were in downtown Valencia. We're very close and like to run errands together, like shopping. We were both quite tired and hungry from all the walking, so we decided to grab lunch. However, we got sidetracked and went into my favorite store that sells super cute stuff 🤗. Luckily, it turned out to be for the best because when we left the store, we took a different street, one we hadn't been to in a long time, and that's how we discovered the perfect place to satisfy our hunger.
¡Hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Hace unos días yo estuve por el centro de la ciudad de Valencia con mi hermana, ya que las dos somos muy unidas y nos gusta ir a hacer diligencias juntas, como compras y eso. Ya estábamos muy cansadas y hambrientas debido a todo lo que habíamos caminado, así que pensamos en ir a almorzar, sin embargo nos distrajimos otro rato cuando entramos a mi tienda favorita que vende artículos muy kawaii 🤗, pero afortunadamente fue mejor así porque cuando salimos de la tienda tomamos otra calle, una que no frecuentamos en mucho tiempo y fue así como descubrimos el sitio perfecto para matar el hambre.
It's a fast food restaurant where they serve all kinds of delicious food such as hot dogs, hamburgers, pizzas, but also some Colombian dishes such as stuffed potatoes and some Venezuelan dishes such as empanadas and tequeños. To start with, we ordered a soft drink because we were dying of thirst, and it really hit the spot. We talked for a long time because even though my sister and I live together, we don't spend as much time together anymore due to my job as a nanny, which is very demanding. I sometimes work 12 hours or more and only have one day off, but it's a job I like and I've learned a lot about babies and how to care for them 😊.
Es un restaurante de comida rápida donde sirven todo tipo de comida deliciosa como perros calientes, hamburguesas, pizzas pero también parte de la gastronomía colombiana como papas rellenas y parte de la gastronomía venezolana como empanadas y raciones de tequeños. Para iniciar pedimos un refresco porque estábamos muertas de sed, y la verdad es que nos sentó muy bien. Allí estuvimos conversando largo rato porque a pesar de que mi hermana y yo vivimos juntas, ya no compartimos tanto tiempo debido a mi trabajo como niñera, el cuál es muy demandante, trabajo a veces 12 horas o más y solo tengo un día libre, pero es un trabajo que me gusta y he aprendido muchísimo sobre bebés y su cuidado 😊.
Finally, we ordered a couple of special hot dogs, as full of calories as the soda, but believe me, we needed them 😄. I also love these moments because it's when we can not only tell each other what happened during the week, but also make plans for the future (plans we make together). So we both really enjoy each other's company, we give each other advice, and we discuss strategies that can help each of us in our work.
Finalmente ordenamos un par de perros calientes especiales, llenos de calorías como el refresco, pero créanme que lo necesitábamos 😄. También me gustan estos momentos porque es cuando las dos podemos aprovechar no solo de contarnos lo que nos ha sucedido en la semana, sino porque podemos hacer planes para el futuro (planes que tenemos en conjunto) así que cada una disfruta mucho de la compañía de la otra, nos damos consejos y discutimos sobre estrategias que a cada una le puede servir para su trabajo.
We also took the opportunity to take some photos of the place because it was very beautiful. It also has a large space dedicated exclusively to small children, and because of my new job, that's something I've been paying attention to lately. However, the child I'm currently taking care of is still a very young baby and won't be able to enjoy spaces like this for a while.
También aprovechamos para tomar algunas fotos del lugar porque estaba muy bonito, además cuenta con un amplio espacio dedicado exclusivamente a los niños pequeños, y debido a mi nuevo trabajo eso es algo en lo que me fijo últimamente, sin embargo el niño del que estoy a cargo actualmente aún es un bebé muy pequeño y no podrá disfrutar de espacios como este en un buen tiempo.
The restaurant is located in a great spot (right in the historic center of Valencia, Venezuela). It's spacious, clean, has good service, and also had beautiful decorations for Valentine's Day (because the date was approaching).
El restaurante está ubicado en un buen sitio (pleno casco histórico de la ciudad de Valencia, en Venezuela) Es amplio, limpio, cuenta con buena atención y además tenía una preciosa decoración a propósito del día de San Valentín (porque ya se acercaba la fecha)
As always, I loved spending time with my sister, making plans for the future, eating, and also talking nonsense 😄 She's the only one who puts up with my fangirl euphoria over my favorite Kpop band: Stray Kids 😍😄 And that day especially, I was telling her about my anecdotes with the fan club when we went to the premiere of the band's recently released movie.
Como siempre me encantó pasar tiempo con mi hermana, haciendo planes para el futuro, comiendo y también hablando tonterías 😄 ella es la única que soporta mis euforias de fan enamorada con mi banda de Kpop favorita: Stray Kids 😍😄 y ese día especialmente yo le estaba contando mis anécdotas con el club de fans cuando fuimos al estreno de la película que salió recientemente de la banda.
