Drawing Totoro (ENG/SPA)
Hello, Internet folks, how's it going? Today I wanted to get back to one of my favourite activities, drawing, so I looked for a nice reference to work from and found a cute drawing of Totoro, one of my favourite characters from Studio Ghibli.
Hola, gente de Internet ¿todo bien? Hoy quise retomar una de mis actividades preferidas, dibujar asi que busqué una referencia bonita para hacer y encontré un lindo dibujo de Totoro, uno de mis personajes preferidos de Studio Ghibli
This is the reference photo I found. I really like it, it has a nice style.
Esta es la foto de referencia que conseguí. Me gustó bastante, tiene un lindo estilo
The first thing I did was sketch using a 2B graphite pencil. I usually draw several lines, correcting the proportions if I make a mistake or something like that (as a beginner, this is one of the things I find most difficult).
Lo primero que hice fue bocetear utilizando un lápiz de grafito 2b. Usualmente hao varias lineas corrigiendo las proporciones si meequivoco y eso (como aprendíz es una de las cosas que más dificil se me hace)
I did the entire drawing with a pencil until I was satisfied with the shape, and then I began to outline it with an extra-fine pen (I find it perfect for this purpose because it doesn't leave a thick line).
Hice todo el dibujo con el lápiz hasta que quedé conforme con la forma y posteriormente empecé a delinear con un bolígrafo punta extrafina (me parece que es perfecto para este fin debido a que no deja un trazo grueso)
I sketch very carefully and then always tend to use an eraser to remove the lines from the sketch.
Delineé con bastante cuidado y posteriormente siempre tiendo a usarun borrador para borrar las lineas del boceto
There are times when I'm not sure whether to colour the drawing or not. In this case, I preferred to only colour the parts that required black, although it's possible that after looking at it so much, I'll end up colouring it. But for now, I like the result as it is, in black and white. I hope you liked it, and I welcome any advice on how I can improve so that I can draw better every day.
Hay veces en las que no estoy segura si colorear el dibujo o no, en este caso preferí solo colorar las partes que requerían color negro aunque cabe la posibilidad que de tanto verlo termine dandole color, pero por ahora me gustó el resultado asi, a blanco y negro. Espero que les haya gustado y aceptoconsejos de que puedo mejorar para cada día dibujar mejor
