3 Wonders of the Ancient World I Would Have Liked to Visit (ENG/SPA)
Hello, internet people, how's it going? I often fantasise about travelling. My favourite country to visit is South Korea, followed by Japan, but I've also thought about places I would have liked to visit but don't currently excite me.

Thinking about that possibility, three places came to mind that I would have loved to see with my own eyes, and they are three of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
Pensando en esa posibilidad, se me vinieron a las mente 3 lugares que me habría encantado ver con mis propios ojos y se trata de 3 de las 7 maravillas del mundo antiguo
Coloso de Rodas:
This monumental sculpture stood at the entrance to Rhodes, right in the harbour, and represented the sun god Helios. It was approximately 32 metres high and was eventually destroyed by an earthquake.
Está monumental escultura se ubicaba en la entrada de Rodas, en pleno puerto y representaba al dios sol Helios, media aproximadamente 32 metros de altura y terminó siendo destruida por un terremoto
There are currently statues a thousand times larger than the Colossus of Rhodes, so it would probably be overshadowed today and would not surprise anyone, but I feel it has its charm, considering that today it would be a fairly old sculpture, so it would be even more valuable for its history. On the other hand, it would be a reminder of Greek mythology (which I find particularly fascinating) and how the ancient Greeks perceived the world of their beliefs. I think the only thing missing to make it perfect would have been a viewing platform.
Actualmente hay estatuas mil veces más grandes que el Coloso de Rodas por lo que probablemente hoy día se hubiese quedado atrás y no sorprendería a nadie, pero siento que tiene su encanto tomando en cuenta que a día de hoy sería una escultura bastante antigua así que tendría más valor aún por su historia por otro lado sería un recordatorio de la mitología griega (que en particular me fascina) de como los antiguos griegos percibian el mundo de sus creencias. Creo que solo le hubiese faltado ser un mirador para ser perfecto
Estatua de Zeus, Olimpia
Another place I would have liked to visit is the statue of Zeus at Olympia. This statue was inside the temple dedicated to the god himself.
Otro de los lugares que me habría gustado visitar es la estatua de Zeus en Olimpia. Dicha estatua estaba dentro del templo en honor al mismo dios
The statue apparently measures approximately 12 metres and was made of marble and gold, if I am not mistaken. It has appeared in films such as Percy Jackson, and the truth is that it looks quite impressive. I think it looks much bigger indoors (I mean, taking the size in the film as a reference) and the way it was seated on its throne made it look quite imposing. In fact, I imagine what a selfie would look like from the foot of the statue, and the perspective would be great.
La estatua al parecer media 12 metros aproximadamente y estaba hecha me mármol y oro si no me equivoco. Ha aparecido el n películas como Percy Jackson y la verdad es que parece bastante impresionante, creo que se ve mucho más grande al estar en interiores (digo tomando el tamaño de referencia en la película) y la forma en la que estaba sentado sobre su trono, le hacía ver bastante imponente, de hecho imagino como debería verse una selfie desde los pies de la estatua y la perspectiva sería estupenda
I don't know for sure what destroyed it, as it is said that it was either tsunamis or earthquakes, but the exact cause is unknown and I don't know if there are any remains in a museum, but it would have been interesting to visit it.
A ciencia cierta no se que la destruyó ya que se dice que fueron tsunamis o terremotos pero hasta donde se la causa exacta se desconoce y no se si al menos hay restos en algún museo, pero la verdad si estaría interesante haberla podido visitar

It was composed of terraces stacked on top of each other in a pyramid shape to help its stability, with hollow walls filled with earth to allow the planting of various plants and even trees, yes, as big as trees.

I really like winter gardens, so I think a hanging garden would also look nice, and one of that size would be quite impressive, to be honest, so I would have loved to visit it.

I would be very interested to know if you had any technology to help all those plants regulate themselves or if they had to be watered manually, how they were distributed inside and what types of plants you had planted. I think there would be lots of nice selfies there.
Me parecería muy interesante saber si tenía alguna tecnología para que todas esas plantas se autoregaran o si debían regarse manualmente, cuál era su distribución por dentro y que tipo de plantas había sembradas. Creo que habría muchas selfies bonitas ahí
