Power holding company of Nigeria is actually the current name for NEPA but omo Nigerians we will never stop shouting up nepa till the veins on our neck pop out Omo regardless shouting up nepa is the best feeling ever , imagine going through a depressing moment or your boyfriend or girlfriend broke up with you and you are crying and all of a sudden NEPA brings light omo you go forget that heartbreak shout up nepa first and smile even in your tears so nepa is a very big source of joy to us.

So this brings us to todays prompt (Electricity Supply) it's not a new to us that some country export electricity but can afford to give a good population of their light and you see that can be due to corrupt leadership and only the elite in the society have access to uninterrupted power supply. And the lower class in the society suffer from lack of power supply..

In some places they have not even seen light for years and months mostly the rural areas where some of them don't have transformers at all they have not even seen nepa in years not until the government decide to remember them and bring light to them.

While in some places light is being rationed some Houses have light today while others don't have the next day and so it goes . And the nepa bill can be very outrageous sometimes like the one we got recently on my street a bill of 48800 in one month for each house how do you expect people to pay that it too for an average house hold to pay and it lead to the light being disconnected from the transformer. And then the government responded and reduced the bill a bit . All this struggle just for NEPA.

Yes the light is rationed where I live and some people have light on some days while others don't and on a normal everyone should have light everyday if not that system is not stable.

In some places in my neighborhood some people who have money for prepared meter get it but that doesn't still guarantee 24/7 light.

Most times the transformer can blow as it is always said and we will all be thrown into darkness for quite a long time and the alternative will be fuel which is very expensive too. And most times we just charge when we hear our neighbours gen on to save money 😂 ,but if they switch your follow come charger there na another wahala be that ,Omo the struggle.

The government should do better in regards to electricity in the country.
My appreciation goes out to scifi-verse for this amazing weekly prompt.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

No electricity means suffering, but when the light comes back, laughter returns. This is our true reality.

My dear the system is not stable and I strongly doubt if it will ever be.

It's the first paragraph for me😂.
The joy that sudden restoration of electricity brings is out of this world. The people that have regular electricity won't understand this kind of joy😂
