LESRNING BY EXPERIENCE

Hello everyone your welcome to my blog today.

Life experience that makes permanent impacts in our life, life is full of so many lessons, and we continue to learn everyday we meet people who either impact positively or negatively its all left to us to make right decision on the one to learn from and work.

Personally, I have had my fair share of life experiences, the good and the bad, right from the moment I could remember things as a child. From my coming up family and secondary school days down to the university days I have had so many encounters with a lot of people and gained more knowledge and being street wise.

This brings me down to the topic for this weekly prompt “My unforgettable experience” the truth is that not all knowledge is gotten within the school walls, some people solely depend on what they are taught in school to survive and when they come out in the real world, they are not street wise.

Well, there is a lot I would want to share but I would go straight to the experience I want to share. Well, it was indeed a trying time for me as a young girl looking at work then because I had my personal needs and you know one thing by looking for work with just your WAEC result it was just one rejection to another. Firstly, a friend introduced to the manager of a shopping mall where they were looking for a salesgirl in the cosmetics session.

On the scheduled day of the interview I went there, and I was interviewed and given some application of undertaken to fill and get a guarantor which I did and at the end of the day they said they would get back and when they final did, the time shift was not convenient at all so I couldn’t take it up.

And the next place was as hospital that was only willing to pay me 10000 naira only to be a lab assistant ,it not as if the interview didn’t take a long time it took up my whole day and two days of going to submit application and see the doctor for the interview only to get accepted with that kind of payment .

Till I eventually got an offer through a friend in a journalism firm and I got the job and so far, it has exposed me to a lot of places and people, and I have also learnt a lot on how to blog and publish news and so many techniques to follow to make my story very good to be published. This has been an unforgettable experience that has impacted a lot positively on the aspect of my new job. Despite the hard times that came with the job rejection.
