I send you a big greeting and, although a few days have passed since Valentine's Day, I don't want to miss the opportunity to share with you a project that I did especially for that date. Today I want to show you how I made some decorative foam letters that I used to decorate a special space, with the purpose of serving as a photo corner. Although the date has passed, this idea can be a great alternative to decorate on other occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries or simply to give a special touch to any event.

Foami is a material that is easy to manipulate, economical and very versatile. In addition, it is lightweight, allowing you to create large letters without them being heavy. It is also ideal for craft projects because it can be cut, glued and decorated in many ways. Although I did this project with Valentine's Day in mind, the idea can be adapted to any occasion. For example, you could make letters with names for a birthday, motivational phrases for a special event, or even themed decorations for children's parties. • Paso nro 1

Comencé dibujando las letras en una hoja de papel para tener una guía clara. Me aseguré de que todas las letras tuvieran el mismo tamaño, ya que quería que el diseño final se viera ordenado y armonioso. Elegí la caligrafía cursiva porque me pareció más adecuada para la ocasión, ya que transmite elegancia y romanticismo, perfecto para San Valentín.Una vez que tenía las letras dibujadas, las recorté cuidadosamente con una tijera pequeña que tengo especialmente para trabajos manuales. Esta tijera me permitió cortar las partes más complejas y detalladas que una tijera normal no podría alcanzar. Fue un proceso minucioso, pero valió la pena porque los detalles hacen la diferencia.

I started by drawing the letters on a piece of paper to have a clear guide. I made sure all the letters were the same size as I wanted the final design to look neat and harmonious. I chose cursive calligraphy because it seemed more appropriate for the occasion, as it conveys elegance and romanticism, perfect for Valentine's Day. Once I had the letters drawn, I carefully cut them out with a small scissor that I have especially for craft work. This scissors allowed me to cut the most complex and detailed parts that normal scissors couldn't reach. It was a painstaking process, but it was worth it because the details make the difference.

Ya teniendo las plantillas de las letras listas, procedí a marcarlas en el foami. Para esto, volteé el foami para asegurarme de que al cortarlas no quedaran del lado contrario, especialmente si el foami es escarchado. Esto es importante porque el lado escarchado es el que queremos que quede visible en la decoración.

Having the letter templates ready, I proceeded to mark them on the foam. For this, I turned the foam over to make sure that when I cut them they would not end up on the wrong side, especially if the foam is frosty. This is important because the frosted side is the one we want to be visible in the decoration.

Después de cortar las letras, las pegué sobre otro foami, en esta ocasión foami blanco. Luego, volví a cortar las letras para que quedaran perfectamente alineadas. Finalmente, las pegué sobre foami negro. Este proceso de capas crea un efecto 3D que le da a las letras un mejor acabado y un aspecto más profesional.

• Paso nro 3

After cutting the letters, I glued them on another foam, this time white foam. Then I cut the letters again so they would line up perfectly. Finally, I glued them on black foam. This layering process creates a 3D effect that gives the letters a better finish and more professional look.

Finalmente, tengo las letras listas. También hice unos corazones en foami para complementar la decoración. Ya tenía una cortina de fiestas y decidí utilizarla de nuevo. La decoración la preparé en el gimnasio, colocando primero la cortina y luego las letras. Traté de poner las letras justo en el medio para que fueran el centro de atención y los corazones los coloqué alrededor para darle un toque más festivo y romántico.

Finally, I have the lyrics ready. I also made some foam hearts to complement the decoration. I already had a party curtain and decided to use it again. I prepared the decoration in the gym, placing the curtain first and then the letters. I tried to put the letters right in the middle so that they were the center of attention and I placed the hearts around them to give it a more festive and romantic touch.
