The warning and advice i should have embrace when i was fifteen

Our mindset when growing up as kids was totally different when compared to the adulthood we find ourselves now. When we were kids, we have this assurance that everything we need will be provided for without stress when asking our parents for the required things needed. That stage of life felt like heaven on earth because as kids we lack nothing since everything we needed was always been provided.

But then it is a step by step stage in life when we begin to realize that life doesnt work that way until we find ourselves in that same position. Our uncles and aunts that we feel were stingy or nice have changed our thoughts because being in that position is surrounded by bills that they have no choice than to overcome it and this is the stage where everyone will find themselves someday.

The advice and warning i should have caution myself or probably train myself was to avoid having the mindset to depend on anyone or see someone as a final hope for survival. I have come to realize that humans are not meant to be trusted because their promises or action can change at anytime. its really painful when you depend on someone for help and then they turn you down with excuses.

Building myself with that kind of mindset not to depend or hope on anyone when i was fifteen would have change a lot of things for me because that is what i am really battling with at the moment. My parents were there for us when growing up, where they always ensure we lack nothing but then we fail to understand that the table will turnaround someday where we also will be the ones to take care of them.

My parents now are no more and the aunts and uncles we feel were dashing us gifts when we were kids cant play the role our parents did but instead they have their own problems to face. Having the mindset earlier at that age would have kept me prepared for a day like this where i have to face challenges in other to secure something good for myself.
