Amsterdam Odyssey | A Journey into Dutch Elegance

Greetings Photography Lovers and Travellers

I found some old memories and shots and decided to share them here

Firstly i believe most of the world knows what the tourism in Netherlands is typically - “Irresponsible Fun with Friends”.

Secondly this irresponsible fun with fiends has its interests for example i went to Amsterdam to basically watch a football match which I didn’t care, just because I really don’t have any interest in any sport, I’m far from some crazy football fan.

I went there for that reason generally, but the accent was more about the place than the match itself. Anyway as far as i remember a friend of mine who’s a really big football fan had some tickets and wanted me and my girlfriend to come with him and his girlfriend, like a double date trip or some sort to the capital of the degeneracy and i said “why not?”

So yeah, not only i had to go, because he wanted me to come, but also because we have mutual friends there who were so pro for us coming i felt almost obligated to go sorta.

Anyway we have rented an Airbnb to this amazing city, which i think i go for the third time, but first time where somebody else had made the plans.

Yeah Amsterdam is very interesting and I actually think it has a nice balance like a place where history and innovation merge you know.

Some of my friends who live there say it’s just cold Venice, yeah it looks like that, but in terms of people it doesn’t, everything is just so decentralised.

Let’s be honest here, most of the people who go there, or let’s just pin it as tourists who go there most of us know what they go for there, well i also did the stuff, well most of the parts tho.

Not to bore you i have to tell you we not only we enjoyed the “green” stuff, also enjoyed the food. There’s a place there I believe it was called “Street Blues” where the food was not bad, well the food was alright, but the beer was more than alright.

Attention! This is the actual part and experience that I actually made the post for and it’s the football match i was between Ajax and Brighton.

Well i gotta say it’s not what i imagined it to be. And I’m speaking on the positive side, it was way better than the football games in our country and I’ve been on one the difference is through the roof. I mean everything is cleaner, wider just better in any way.

I see that it’s not so much about the game, but the energy there just hypes you I don’t know how to describe it. After the game i felt no difference about football than before, but the activity was just fun.

After we left the Stadium Johan, I’m gonna just say the first name, the second was hard to pronounce “Cruijuff” we roamed around the city and because it was my third time i wanted some of our friends who live there to walk us around the city more, not just the typical tourist route. Well there’s not a tourist route, but a tourist experience, so we just wanted to explore the Dam Square more, cuz it has such rich history.

Okay the time has come to talk to you about the red light area. Well for the boys its fun, interesting and definitely something different, for the girls it’s just different i guess. I’m gonna say that under these red lights is very pleasing looking and tempting or is it the right angle i took that photo and that’s why it looks pleasing to the human eye? 😄

I guess this is the end of the story, it definitely felt like a relaxing trip and just you know going to a place with your partner and friends and just doing fun stuff hits differently with every year i age. I think the most fun stuff was just the walking and chatting with friends on the street of Amsterdam, yes it wasn’t the football match.

I’m ending this post with food this time and not ending like i started it. I hope you enjoyed my photos more than my story, cuz for sure they look vivid.

Till next time travellers!
