Normally it will have been dry in summer; then it rains a LOT and the winds come. With the ground soaked and high winds, trees fall. Our area is almost all forest, so we get 8-10 powerouts every winter.
I guess you are prepared for those. Powerouts here really uncommon, but I had a couple of but those were due to issue with the main fuse and some shortcuts in line for the lights outside- so very very local.
