Hello everyone!!!

I hope you are well or are trying to be well. Lately I have been feeling very nervous and uncomfortable for no reason. I have a pain in my stomach as if something bad is going to happen all the time and I can't find peace.

In my search for some peace, I decided to watch a movie and this was ‘Age of Adaline’. Frankly speaking, I don't watch movies and TV series that I have already heard and guessed too much about, and it is always better for me not to have an idea about the subject.

I love those movies when they surprise me just like this one did. Not just because of the beautiful effects or the great actors, but because of the great script and story. That's exactly how I feel about Age of Adaline. I didn't even know that Blake Lively was in such a movie.

As I was about to fall asleep in the first minutes of the movie, which started off boring in general, unfortunately, something I have been in the habit of doing for a very long time, something happened and I found out that this time this movie also had some fantasy touches.

With this touch, I felt awake and woke up because it was something I really didn't expect. When there was a romantic relationship complication in the mix, I went from the bored Beril mode to the interested Beril mode.

Although the following minutes of the action seemed to be very slow, it was tied to a happy ending with the love and the problems towards the end. Was this something I expected? Yes, it was. Was I sad that this happened? Again, yes. Why is that? I like unhappy endings. Everyone talks about happy endings as if they're wonderful, but I find unhappy endings a little closer to reality.

The reason why all the series and movies I have watched throughout my life usually stay in my mind is that they either have a very bad event or end with an unhappy ending. For example, in ‘The Pianist’, when a small child is trapped under the wall, the pianist's desperation while trying to get him out and his staying with the dead body. For some reason, this scene never leaves me, and every time I remember it, it makes my heart ache and gives me goosebumps, just as it does now.

Although this one didn't leave such an impression on me, I was intrigued at the time and I liked it because I had nothing better to do. It is definitely not a rewatchable one, but it is one that you can give a chance when you want to fill your time.

Although I don't like Blake's personality in general and I don't think Blake is someone who can make her acting work, I can say that she wasn't bad in this one.

I think that's all I want to talk about this, more precisely, while talking to you about this, or rather, while writing my sentences out loud and talking at the same time. If I add more details, I will probably give spoilers and I don't want that, even though it is not a new movie.

Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Son zamanlarda kendimi sebepsiz bir şekilde çok gergin ve rahatsız hissediyorum. Karnıma sanki sürekli kötü bir şeyler olacakmış gibi bir hissin ağrısı var ve huzur bulamıyorum.

Biraz huzur arayışımın içerisinde ise bir film izleme kararı aldım ve bu da "Age of Adaline" idi. Açıkçası çok fazla konusunu daha önceden okuduğum, tahmin ettiğim filmleri ve dizileri pek izlemem ve benim için konu hakkında fikrimin olmaması her zaman daha iyidir.

Beni aynı bu film gibi şaşırttıklarında çok seviyorum o filmleri. Sadece güzel efektleri veya harika oyuncuları ile değil de harika senaryosu ve hikâyesi ile. Age of Adaline için tam olarak düşüncelerim bu. Blake Lively'nin böyle bir filmde rol aldığını bilmiyordum bile.

Genel olarak sıkıcı başlayan filmin ilk dakikalarına uykuya dalmak üzereyken, ne yazık ki çok uzun süredir alışkanlık hâline getirdiğim bir şey oldu bu, bir şey gerçekleşti ve ben bu filmin fantastik dokunuşlara da sahip olduğunu öğrendim.

Bu dokunuş ile birlikte uykum açıldı ve kendime geliverdim çünkü gerçekten beklemediğim bir şeydi. İşin içerisinde romantik bir ilişki karmaşası de olunca canı sıkılmış Beril modundan çıkıp ilgili Beril moduna giriş yaptım.

Filmin ilerleyen dakikaları çok yavaş gibi gelse de sonuna doğru kavuşulan aşk ve düzelen sorunlar ile birlikte mutlu sona bağlanmış oldu. Bu beklediğim bir şey miydi? Evet. Bu gerçekleştiği için üzüldüm mü? Yine evet. Neden peki? Ben mutsuz sonları severim. Herkes mutlu sonları harika bir şeymiş gibi anlatır fakat mutsuz sonları gerçekliğe biraz daha yakın görürüm.

Hayatım boyunca izlediğim bütün dizi ve filmlerin genellikle aklımda kalmalarının sebebi ya çok kötü bir olay yaşanması ya da mutsuz son ile bitmesidir. Mesela "Piyanist"teki küçük bir çocuğun duvarın altında kaldığı anda Piyanist'in onu çıkarmaya çalışırkenki çaresizliği ve ölü beden ile birlikte kalışı. Bu sahne nedense gözlerimin önünden bir türlü gitmez ve ne zaman hatırlasam aynı şimdi olduğu gibi içim acır, tüylerim ürperir.

Bu film benim üzerimde böyle bir etki bırakamasa da o anda ilgimi çekmiş ve yapacak daha iyi bir şeyim olmadığı için de hoşuma gitmişti. Tekrar izlenecek bir film kesinlikle değil fakat zaman doldurmak istediğinizde bir şans verebileceğiniz bir tane.

Genel olarak Blake'in kişiliğini beğenmesem ve oyunculuğunu konuşturabilen birisi olduğunu düşünmesem de bu filmde kötü değildi diyebilirim.

Bu film hakkında sizlerle konuşurken, daha doğrusu cümlelerimi sesli bir şekilde yazarken aynı zamanda da konuşurken, bahsetmek istediklerim sanırım bu kadar. Daha fazla detay eklersem eğer büyük ihtimalle spoiler veririm ve ben bunu istemiyorum her ne kadar yeni bir film olmasa da.
