Returning from Miramar del Palo to Malaga, a Retro walk - Le Grand Cafe

Hi Hive!!! Hope you are having a nice day! It's been quite a while since I've been here, and there's no shortage of walks!!!! Hehe. Last Thursday it occurred to me to go try a hot dog at a place that has become well known for its hot dogs in Malaga: Terral Burger and Drinks.

I start this post with a picture of that hot dog. I didn't take from the place, as in the end I was basically focused on eating.

You may wonder what this has to do with Wednesday Walk Community and well, it has everything to do with it.

This place is way out of town and my plan was to have lunch there and walk back to burn off the food, hehe. The walk back consisted of two hours, mostly by the sea.

Regresando desde Miramar del Palo a Málaga

Buenas Hive!! Espero que estén teniendo un bonito día! Hace bastante que no vengo por aquí, y eso que caminatas no faltan!! Jeje. El pasado jueves se me ocurrió ir a probar un hot dog en un lugar que se ha hecho muy conocido por sus perritos calientes en Málaga: Terral Burger and Drinks.

Empiezo este post con una foto de ese perrito caliente. No saqué del lugar, pues al final me enfoqué básicamente en comer.

Se preguntarán qué tiene que ver esto con Wednesday Walk Community y bueno, tiene todo que ver.

Este lugar queda muy alejado de la ciudad y mi plan era almorzar allí y volver caminando para quemar la comida, jeje. La caminata de vuelta consistía en dos horas, en su mayor parte al costado del mar.

From there, I started walking. That is one of my favorite areas of Malaga, take everything that is El Palo, Pedregalejo, and other sectors of the coast that I enjoy very much.

The sun, on the way back, began to move, providing very friendly tones to the sea, which was as always, very calm, but that time with several people inside, as it was quite hot.

Desde allí, empecé a caminar. Aquella es una de mis zonas preferidas de Málaga, toma todo lo que es El Palo, Pedregalejo, y otros sectores de la costa que disfruto mucho.

El sol, en el camino de vuelta, empezó a moverse, brindando tonos muy amables al mar, que estaba como siempre, muy calmo, pero aquella vez con varias personas dentro, ya que hacía bastante calor.

The bars, beach bars and picnic areas were full of people, but as I did not feel like being in the middle of so much noise, I looked for a way to avoid this, to be able to connect with the landscape, which once again took me to a very calm moment.

However, I could not avoid the presence of many languages, among which I detected Italian, English, French and I don't know if Japanese or Chinese. This is a sign, ladies and gentlemen, that the season has begun.

I love to see the seagulls and other birds at sunset, they gather, I think, to hunt at that time. They are hyper-adapted to the amount of people they have to live with.

Los bares, chiringuitos y merenderos estaban repletos de gente, pero como yo no tenía demasiadas ganas de estar metida en medio de tanto ruido, busqué la manera de evitar esto, para poder conectar con el paisaje, que una vez más me trasladó a un momento de mucha calma.

Sin embargo, no pude obviar la presencia de muchos idiomas, entre los que detecté italiano, inglés francés y no sé si japonés o chino. Esto es señal, señoras y señores, de que la temporada ha empezado.

Me encanta ver a las gaviotas y otras aves en el atardecer, se reúnen, creo que a cazar a esa hora. Son aves híper adaptadas a la cantidad de gente con la que tienen que convivir.

But there was something that caught my attention... in the middle of the walk back, and it wasn't exactly the sun, although of course I took a lot of pictures of that sunset.

It turns out that I needed to go to the bathroom halfway and I went into a bar. The bar was a spectacle that took you back to the 60's or 70's. It was full of movie posters and billboards, mostly from Paramount.

It was really like suddenly going in another direction. Being in Andalusia, which has a hyper-traditional style, I didn't expect to suddenly walk into a cafe like this.

It is Le Grand, a cafe that is also in the center and has this retro style.

Pero hubo algo que llamó muchísimo mi atención… en medio de la caminata de vuelta, y no fue precisamente el sol, aunque claro que tomé muchísimas fotos de aquel atardecer.

Resulta que necesité ir al baño a mitad de camino y me metí a un bar. El bar era un espectáculo que te trasladaba a los 60 o 70. Estaba repleto de pósteres y cartelería de películas, en su mayoría de Paramount.

Fue de verdad como pasar de pronto a otra dirección. Estando en Andalucía que tiene un estilo híper tradicional, no me esperaba de golpe entrar a un café así.

Se trata de Le Grand, un café que está también en el centro y que tiene este estilo retro.

Its style is extremely attractive and it is decorated all the way to the bathroom!!!
