A landscape like no other, never seen before

Hello my dear hivers I hope you are having a very nice day.

Today I am going to tell you about a place that seemed to me a dream with an extremely powerful energy on the northwest side of Ibiza, or I would say center-west better. It is Punta Galera and it refers to a geological formation that allows us to see longitudinal and almost perpendicular forms to the ground and that takes us little by little to a kind of paradisiacal and mysterious path that ends in the sea.

More precisely, as we start to move along the rocks and the small paths that have been formed by nature itself, it leads us to a stone esplanade that offers us one of the most magical and unique sunsets that you can get to see in your life.

Un paisaje sin igual, jamás antes visto

Hola mis queridos hivers espero que estén teniendo un día muy lindo.

Hoy les voy a hablar de un lugar que me pareció un sueño con una energía sumamente poderosa del lado noroeste de Ibiza, o diría centro-oeste mejor. Se trata de Punta Galera y hace referencia a una formación geológica que nos permite ver formas longitudinales y casi perpendiculares al suelo y que nos lleva poco a poco a una especie de sendero paradisíaco y misterioso que finaliza en el mar.

Más precisamente, al empezar a desplazarse por las rocas y por los pequeños senderos que se han formado por la misma naturaleza, nos conduce a una explanada de piedra que nos ofrece uno de los atardeceres más mágicos y únicos que podés llegar a ver en tu vida.

Punta Galera is a place where there is also a DJ who is currently an old man and who in his 20-30 years decided to leave everything behind and settle in the only cave in the area. It is not really known if there is another cave that only he knows where it is, because this man has more or less appropriated the place and offers music to the public that visits this site. It is a very soft music, which has nothing to do with an electronic music DJ or anything similar, and he also sells some objects.

In this way this man survives, and it is believed that he has a kind of pantry in another part of this whole formation. This person doesn't bother doesn't talk to anyone, but just sits there contemplating. In fact I mention him in my publication because he is one more part of the landscape, since it is not only the natural one, but also its people, and this man is always there.

Punta Galera es un lugar en donde además habita un DJ que actualmente es un anciano y que en sus 20-30 años decidió dejar todo atrás e instalarse en la única cueva que hay en la zona. No se sabe en verdad si hay otra caverna que solo él sepa dónde está, porque este hombre se ha más o menos apropiado del lugar y ofrece música al público que visita este sitio. Es una música muy suave, que no tiene nada que ver con un DJ de música electrónica ni nada similar, y además vende algunos objetos.

De esta manera este hombre sobrevive, y se cree que tiene una especie de despensa en otra parte de toda esta formación. Esta persona no molesta no habla con nadie, sino que simplemente está sentado ahí contemplando. De hecho lo menciono en mi publicación porque es una parte de más del paisaje, ya que el mismo no solamente es la natural, sino también su gente, y este hombre siempre está allí.

To get to Punta Galera you have to go by car or motorcycle, there is no other way and it is very close to two very beautiful coves: Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta, one next to the other, connected by a small trekking path.
Both coves have crystal clear water, and allow you to fully connect with nature, especially in May, before the really high season starts in Ibiza. Also at this time, the temperature is perfect to enjoy the sun.

Para llegar a Punta Galera se tiene que ir en auto o en moto, no hay otra manera y está muy cerquita de dos calas muy bonitas: una Cala Salada y la otra se llama Cala Saladeta, una al lado de la otra, conectadas c¡por un pequeño sendero de trekking.

Ambas calas tiene el agua por completo cristalina, y permiten conectarse a pleno con la naturaleza, especialmente en mayo, antes de que empiece la temporada realmente alta en Ibiza. Además en esta época, la temperatura es perfecta para disfrutar del sol.

The ideal is to first take a good swim in one of these two coves and go to Punta Galera to watch a dream sunset. That's what I did, I traveled with a friend named Nicolas who came to pick me up where I am working on his motorcycle. Although I'm not much of a motorcycle lover, it was quite fun, as we first went to Cala Salada, then we did a small trail leading to Cala Saladeta and finally on his motorcycle we headed to Punta Galera to enjoy a sunset while we drank mate and Nico told me the story of the DJ in the cave.

Lo ideal es primero darse un buen baño en una de estas dos calas e irse hacia Punta Galera a visualizar un atardecer de ensueño. Es lo que hice yo, que viajé con un amigo que se llama Nicolás y que vino a buscarme a donde estoy trabajando en su moto. Aunque no soy muy amante de las motos, estuvo bastante divertido, ya que primero fuimos a Cala Salada, después hicimos un pequeño sendero que conducía Cala Saladeta y finalmente en su moto nos dirigimos a Punta Galera a disfrutar de un atardecer mientras tomábamos mate y Nico me contaba la historia del DJ de la cueva.

As the sun began to set, the sky was turning thousands of different colors, offering a unique scene. The reflection of the sun in the clouds offered a game of orange, red, yellow, violet and blue that left you mesmerized contemplating the wonder of nature.

Cuando el sol empezaba a ponerse, el cielo se iba tornando de miles de colores diferentes, ofreciendo una escena única. El reflejo del sol en las nubes brindaba un juego de anaranjados, rojos, amarillos, violetas y azules que te dejaban hipnotizada contemplando a maravilla de la nauraleza.

The sun was burning and its silhouette was lost in the sky, showing active edges, typical of a star that is in its moment of greatest splendor.
The afternoon came to an end and gave way to night, while the last rays of sunlight continued to decorate the sky long after the sun had hidden behind the Earth.

A delight, an unforgettable moment.

El sol ardía y su silueta se perdía en el cielo, dejando ver unos bordes activos, propios de un astro que está en su momento de mayor esplendor.

La tarde llegaba a su fin y daba paso a la noche, mientras los últimos rayos de sol seguían decorando el cielo mucho después de que el mismo se hubiese escondido detrás de la Tierra.

Una delicia, un momento inolvidable.
