The rainy season has arrived in Venezuela, with so much drought it is good to welcome the new season. We only pray to God that there will be no natural disasters and that everything will be for the good of nature, which needs these rains so much.

My plants have been progressing although not the way I would have liked. The hot sun of the last few days has been a bit harsh on them. As you can see, the leaves of the tomato plants are wilted. They stopped growing because of the high temperatures. I tried to bring them back to life by watering their roots practically every day.

I was afraid that I would not be able to keep my plant. It was already starting to bloom and that was why I didn't want to pull it up, I took the risk of watering it twice every day, in the morning and at night, the sun was really strong. I was lucky because before the sun killed it, the rains came.

The tomatoes have been thriving, it is curious, the plant was paralyzed by the weather, its leaves shrank, the flowers fell off, the branches weakened, in short, it received the consequences of the sun's rays. However, with the care received, the tomato plant very kindly responded to my attentions. Now, the plant keeps good tomatoes or tomato as it is known in other countries, I observe new branches and leaves and many flowers.

I am estimating to be able to get at least a kilo of tomatoes. Once I harvest the first crop, I will prune the plant and wait for the second batch. These tomatoes, compared to other tomato plants and other tomatoes, are smaller.

I am happy because my strategy paid off. I did not let my plant die. Every time I have a tomato plant I don't know why but I get excited hahaha.

The parchita/passion fruit plant has also thrived since the last time I talked about it and by now it has grown quite a bit. As soon as I can I will be telling you about.

Continuing with the tricks to preserve the tomato plant, I put organic fertilizer and worm humus to the soil. Drawing my own conclusions, not only the soil makes a plant prosper, with good soil, good climate, good treatment, they will be grateful and will give their best to stay alive.

I will wait a few more days to pick the first tomatoes. In the meantime, the plant is still under observation, surely the rain will make them thrive a little more and I will have tomato plants for a while.

Llegó la temporada lluviosa en Venezuela, con tanta sequía es bueno recibir la nueva temporada. Sólo pedimos a Dios que no se produzcan desastres naturales y que todo sea para bien de la naturaleza a quien tanta falta le hacen estas lluvias. Mis plantas han estado progresando aunque no de la manera que hubiese querido. El sol candente de los últimos las maltrató un poco. Como puede ver, hojas de la tomatera están marchitas. Dejaron de crecer por las altas temperaturas. Traté de darles vida regando sus raíces prácticamente todos los días. Sentí temor de no poder mantener mi planta. Ya comenzaba a florecer y era por eso que no quería arrancarla, tomé el riesgo de regar todos los días dos veces, por la mañana y en la noche, de verdad el sol estuvo muy fuerte. Corrí con suerte porque antes de que el sol acabará con ella llegaron las lluvias. Los tomates han ido prosperando, es curioso, la planta paralizó su proceso por el clima, sus hojas se redujeron, las flores se caían, las ramas se debilitaron, en fin, recibió las consecuencias de los rayos solares. Sin embargo, con los cuidados recibido, la tomatera muy bondadosa respondió a mis atenciones. Ahora, la planta mantiene buenos tomates o jitomate como lo conocen en otros países, observo nuevas ramas y hojas y muchas flores. Estoy calculando poder sacar al menos un kilo de tomates. Una vez que recoja la primera cosecha, podaré la planta y esperaré el segundo lote. Estos tomates, en comparación con otras tomateras y otros tomates, son más pequeños. Me siento feliz porque mi estrategia dio resultado. No dejé morir mi planta. Cada vez que tengo una tomatera no sé por qué pero me emociona jajaja. La planta de parchita/maracuyá también ha prosperado desde la última vez que hablé de ella a este tiempo ya ha crecido bastante. En cuanto pueda les estaré hablando sobre su progreso. Siguiendo con los trucos para conservar la tomatera les cuento que coloqué abono orgánico y humus de lombriz a la tierra. Sacando mis propias conclusiones, no sólo la tierra hace que una planta prospere, con buena tierra, buen clima, buen trato, ellas serán agradecidas y darán lo mejor de si para mantenerse vivas. Esperaré unos días más para recoger los primeros tomates. Mientras tanto, sigue en observación la planta, seguro la lluvia las hará prosperar un poco más y tendré tomatera para rato.
