Working weekends

I didn't think it'll happen so soon but I've gotten used to working in the weekends. It just feels natural to me these days.

I'd prefer if I didn't have to work on the weekends but when you critically think about it, it really doesn't make any difference. So the fact that my weekend technically starts on Monday and ends in Wednesday doesn't have any effect on the flow of the week.

I guess it is also helped that while I work in the weekends, I do fewer hours than full time staff but get paid the same because I'm guessing that weekend is double pay or something.

Anyway, my new role doesn't require outrightly clocking in to work, so I'm more focused on responsibilities, rather than time on duty. It is about ensuring that I get my tasks done, rather than bothering myself with how long I spend working.

Anyway, I'm quite grateful that while I do have to work weekends and it sometimes is an inconvenience, I get to do it from the comfort of my home. My hybrid working situation has made my life so much better and I'm just going to keep on finding ways to grow.

So, yeah, I work weekends now and frankly speaking, it's not that bad. I'd prefer to have weekends for myself but since I don't have it, I'll just maximize the benefits of my current schedule.

Focusing on getting tasks done rather than number of hours is a great approach, as it gives you flexibility and makes you more productive without feeling exhausted
