Six sales, GLG Packs and Low Liquidity

In the past 24 hours, there have been only 6 sales in the GLG marketplace raising a total of $33.76. That's quite a depressing figure for a marketplace but it is understandable.

Based on my observation, it seems like most buyers are only interested in getting coaches. There's still no direct way to find out details about your trading activities but from I checked my collection and it turns out pretty much all my gold foil coaches have been bought out.

So, it is safe to say that there's high demand for coaches that I assume are kind of like summoners in Splinterlands. Well, we know that Genesis League Goals will be different from Splinterlands but it is widely expected that certain aspects of both games will be similar.

Conversations about stadiums kind of sounded like Land, while the fact that the game is card-based also points to the fact that we could see a game similar to Splinterlands.

A football match has 11 players on both teams, so it is safe to assume that there will be 11 cards per team. As someone that watches football, it will be difficult to balance my perception of a football match with the blockchain version of the sport but one will have to learn to switch it up.

Packs dumping

Pack staking has finally come to an end, so all you can do now is hold on to them while waiting for a pump. It is very unlikely that there will be a pump anytime soon, so it is safe to assume that we'll see the price stay at this level for a long time.

Right now, I have 30 packs in my wallet and the total price is $45, so that's like $1.5 per pack. That's a significant drop from the $5 we paid for them at launch but I guess it is the state of the market.

I also think the price of packs is symptomatic of the fact since pack staking rewards have ended, there's little interest. It makes sense to rationalise along these lines when you consider the other variables.

First of all, there's no direct benefit of holding packs and there's no benefit of staking them. The low liquidity in the card market also means that the interest in cards will be at a dismal level.

So right now, the price of packs is quite low and there's very little chance of a pump until further notice. Any hope of a boost in the price will depend on the launch of the game or something miraculous happening in the market.
