I can't sleep and it sucks

1000272956.jpg

I'm in a bit of a dilemma right now. I can't sleep because I have a headache and the headache is due to my lack of sleep.

After my shift last night, I've not been able to sleep since getting home. I fear that tonight's shift is going to be absolutely horrible because I won't get enough sleep.

I'm good with anywhere between 4-7 hours of sleep. There's still time, so hopefully, I'll doze off soon.

I've tried all my tricks to make me sleep but it's not working. I decided to just let it flow naturally but that too hasn't worked and now, I'm just in bed while waiting for my laundry I'm doing to finish.

I reckon I'll be able to get some sleep in the coming hours. It's a few minutes past 1pm at the time of writing, so if I can sleep anytime before 4pm, I should be good.

You'd think that chilly weather will be a catalyst for sleep but that hasn't been the case. Instead, I've been wide awake, listening to the sound of wind meeting leaves and hoping any feint sign of sleep comes along to take me away.

To add to the situation, I also have to make some edits to the article I wrote for the freelance agency. I've done a couple of the edits but there's still quite a bit to do and I suspect there will be further revisions afterwards.

In any case, I need some shut eye. I need it now.

Physical activity during the daytime can help.

I did laundry, if that counts. I was generally too tired to do anything.

Man, squeeze the tendon at the top of your shoulders that connects to your neck. If it feels sore, work on it a bit. It works for 60% of headaches

Sounds painful. Why not just take pcm?

painkillers? Because that doesn’t fix the issue, just covers it up 😜

Watching a boring movie or listening to a slow music can help

It's definitely not a coincidence that I found you with your sleep problems, Mr. @belemo.
I'm sorry for what you're going through because of your problem, and in my opinion, you really should go to sleep immediately.
If you wish, you can read a post I just shared here. I hope I can help you with my article at the following link.

A good sleep is actually very important fro our body, not only for our body as well as our mind for relaxation. But when I opened a book for study my eyes about to shut at that time 😂😂😂. You should do some tough work, this will make you sleep.

I used to work a night shift while I was at university, I could never sleep when I got home, my head would just be buzzing for several hours. The trick is to not try to sleep and instead just do something relaxing like read a book or watch tv - you’ll soon pass out!

Oh no! You really need to sleep. Reading a book might help you sleep or watching a boring movie

I hate when that happens dude. What’s worked for me for sleep is taking a cold shower it helps lower your body temperature to the point where you can relax.

As for headache, it’s going to sound fucking weird but I swear it’s killed 5 headaches I’ve had over the past 4 weeks or so. Celtic sea salt under your tongue and let it sit there for a minute or two. I think it’s the minerals in it or some shit but my wife learned about it and we’ve both been doing it and it’s worked really well! Crazy lol

Oh yeah. I try to avoid medication these days. I'm always worried about side effects
