SIMPLE and CHIC

I have always wondered what would be my style when I was little. I would want to grow up so fast so I could pick my outfit myself, and put on clothes that I see most people wear. I always wanted to become an adult so my mom wouldn’t pick out my outfit for me. Whenever I saw a movie as a kid, I would always fantasize about the extravagant lifestyle and clothes.

Well, I grew up and I became different from what I had fantasized about as a child. It didn’t take me long to find my fashion style as an adult because I would always want something I am comfortable in. I didn’t want extravagant clothing or anything that would make me the center of attraction. I didn’t want to be associated with clothes that had very bright colors and then I stepped into the room and all eyes were on me, not because I was looking good but because the color of my clothes was too bright.

I would always term my fashion style as “SIMPLE AND CLASSY” I would prefer to look simple because to me that is what I am comfortable with. Most times I would even prefer my sandals to my heels because they make me extremely comfortable. When it comes to my fashion, I believe that Simplicity is Elegant because most times, I get compliments more when I dress so simply and yet classy and comfortably.

I would call myself a fashion minimalist because I get clothes that I know are simple yet I look chic in them. When it comes to my jewelry, I am not a big fan of jewelry. I do not have much jewelry. Just something simple that goes with most of my outfits. Most times the jewelry I have on when I am out is my wristwatch and my earrings. I rarely have a necklace on except I have a very important event and maybe my outfit needs a bit of jewelry to make the look more classy.

When it comes to colors of clothes, I go for colors that are not so bright. Most times people tell me that bright colors would look good on me, but then I prefer colors that are not so bright. To me, my preferred bright color is white and that’s why most of my outfits are either black or white. But mostly black.

When it comes to getting a new outfit, I would most times prefer to make my clothes with the help of my seamstress, rather than buying clothes from a boutique. To me it makes me look different. Sometimes I would even prefer a thrift outfit because I know it is difficult to see it around. I always prefer clothes and clothing styles that are not popular. I just want to look different and this has worked for me, some times I get more compliments on clothes that are made by my seamstress than on clothes I buy.

I may not have the coolest fashion sense, but I would always say that I prefer my fashion to be anything I am comfortable with. When it comes to me, I would always say that Simplicity is Elegant, because whenever I stare in the mirror I see an Elegant young lady who does not need an extravagant outfit to look good. There’s always beauty in Simplicity.
