It Won’t Bite…
I have had several encounters with different animals, sometimes I look back at some of those encounters and I can’t help but laugh at myself. Most times I ask myself why I am scared of even the tiniest of animals. I have no answer for myself because I will still see those animals and I will run away.
Can we all agree that when it comes to dogs, the puppies are the adorable ones? Even if they are not puppies, those dogs that happen to be so small and fluffy are the most adorable ones. I have been opportune to be a dog owner twice. At first, I got a small puppy as my birthday gift but then as she grew bigger, I just couldn’t find the bond anymore so I gave her off to my friend.
Then I decided to go for a kind of dog that rarely grows big and even though they grow, they do not grow so big as compared to a bulldog or a German shepherd. I have also had a cat that died and I think when it comes to animals, apart from dogs that have small stature, cats happen to be my favorite animals, as they are so small and rarely grow too big.
No matter how much I love dogs they have scared me on different occasions. They say dogs are domesticated but then most of them deserve to be called wild animals cause of how aggressive they are to innocent people like me.
How I got into one situation where I was attacked by a very big German Caucasian dog and it terrified the hell out of me. It happened that my cousin’s family are lovers of very big dogs. Every compound they move to they make sure that they always have dogs in it and not tiny fluffy dogs but very big dogs. Those kinds that the police usually use.
I try my best to stay away from their compound because these dogs are never put in cages or even chained. They are allowed to move around the compound, so immediately you get into the compound there is a dog there either wagging its tail at you or attacking you.
Well, a day came when I had to run errands for my dad by taking a parcel to my Aunt.
I called my cousin and told him to please cage the dog or put his chain around him so I could come into the compound. My cousin said he would come outside so he could bring me inside the compound since I am scared of the dog and he couldn’t chain it because they can’t find their chain. My cousin told me that this dog doesn’t bite and he loves playing with people a lot.
Immediately I entered the gate, this dog was running in my direction with speed and he was barking. I ran out and shut the gate. The dog was still standing close to the gate barking and hitting the gate. I could feel my heart jump out of my body because I was super terrified. My aunt had to come downstairs to take the parcel my dad gave me because nobody was able to convince me to go into the compound.
Till now, I have not visited my cousins because of that mighty dog before it bites me.
The Lesson I learned from this experience is that If they ever tell you “my dog doesn’t bite” run for your life because that dog will bite you.
I wonder if the dog told the owners that it doesn’t bite.

Dogs are sensitive and have emotions attached to their owners but to strangers,it's a different ball game. And the owners would tell us he doesn't bite despite looking mean. It's better to stay safe. Glad you took to your heels
True, they are really sensitive to emotions and they could detect fear as well
Yeye!
As long as you're not running, it's never ever going to bite you.
I know you knew this truth but the fear was bigger than the truth in your mind😂
😂😂😂😂 please, I need to run
"come in, it wouldn't bite."
This is the phrase of a person that wants you to be eaten by their dog. Lol 🤣🤣
Exactly 😂😂
Hahaha, I love dogs ooo very much but you see the ones that are not mine, I avoid them before they bite me. Haha.
True😂😂😂
Yes, I totally agree😂, that dog will bite, never listen to the owners 😂😂
I'm scared of dogs, both big and small😂. Glad you ran as fast as you could, the rest would've been a long story😂

I run far away from dogs that are not mine please 😂😂
I fear dogs. No matter the assurance from the owner, I can't feel free to relate with dogs. I keep my distance.

Those owners are something else
"The dog doesn't bite...enter na" has landed me into trouble some years back too. The big dog almost kissed my mouth, though had a scratch on my chest and my clothes got torn when I went to deliver clothes to a customer. Ever since then, I never stepped my foot in that house. I told my aunt if she ever wants me to keep delivering clothes to the customer, he must chain those dogs and he did. I can't believe anyone saying to me, "my dogs doesn't bite" I will run oo 🤣🤣
I’m so sorry, all these big dogs are really scary to me
Very scary.
