HPUD - My Savings Journey

At a point, I kept thinking if January wasn’t going to end. Honestly, it was a long month, I started every new week by saying “It’s another week in January”. Well, eventually it has come to an end and it was indeed a great month, I got to accomplish some things, I got to learn new things, and I began new things. My January wasn’t bad at all. During my January Hive Power Up Day, I decided to Power up every month in 2024 no matter how little it is. I know it’s not so easy but I am hoping to achieve it.

It’s another Hive Power Up Day and it is a new time to set new goals for the month and also get to see if I was able to make progress in the last month. When I started my journey on Hive, there were days I felt like giving up, I still do sometimes but I think right now it’s all better as I try to get things on track, engage actively in trying to contribute to the blockchain in one way or another and keep records of my daily activity on Hive.

I have always complained about my poor financial habits and how I find it difficult to keep track of my finances. I also find it so difficult to stay intact when it comes to my financial life as I get to be an impulse spender and then I end up being broke and start thinking about how I spent the money.
In January, I think the second week of January, I made a post about it and @tengolotodo.leo introduced to me the SATURDAY SAVERS CLUB. Thank you so much Uncle T., I appreciate it.

Saturday Savers Club is for anyone who wants to save in any currency for any purpose. The Club is a supportive group of people who meet up around the weekly post, usually on a Saturday but occasionally on a Sunday, to share tips and techniques and have fun in the process.

I had no idea about how it works so he explained everything to me and told me how I needed to make Primary and Secondary Goals that way I could improve more on my savings. Well, I decided to give it a try, I doubted myself a bit and kept asking if I could keep up with this but it’s been 2-3 weeks and I think I have been doing well.

I fixed a primary goal of 1500 HP at the end of the year and a secondary goal of 260 HBD at the end of the year. I know my goals are achievable and I will be getting them and even exceeding them hopefully. I have been able to start up my savings already and also working towards attaining the set HP.

My goal for this month is to write quality posts and also try to engage more on the blockchain that way I could achieve Saturday Savers' goal in the long run. I am trying to make financial SMART goals and work actively to achieve every one of them.
