Attaining A Higher Standard

If there is one thing most of my friends say to me is how much of a nerd I am. They tell me that all I think of is school and acquiring knowledge. I don’t know for anyone else but this has been super helpful for me. I would want to attain the highest level of education. That has been something I have always wanted and it is great that I am working towards it.

MY CURRENT LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Right now I am done with my tertiary level of education where I attained a BSc in Microbiology, initially, I wanted to go for medicine after high school but then things happened and I got offered microbiology instead. It wasn’t a smooth ride but since I am a semi nerd I got to scale through.

WOULD I LOVE TO FURTHER MY EDUCATION AND WHAT CAREER PATH?

I would love to further my education if given an opportunity. I think if there is one thing I am aiming at right now is furthering my education. I know it would be difficult due to financial constraints but then I am not going to sit down and keep waiting for the opportunity to come by before I further it to get my master's (MSc) and Ph.D. so as usual I am working towards furthering my education to a higher level. So it might take some time but I will get to it soon.

Before I started applying for scholarships for my Master’s Degree I kept asking myself what field I would want to go into. When I was in my tertiary institution I focused more on Bacteriology as a microbiology student. I had my project supervisor advise me to go into Bacteriology more while applying for my Master's. I had several options and it took me some time to finally decide on what field to further on.

Also, I had thought of switching over to nursing instead of going for an MSc degree which isn’t a thought I completely ruled out though. Finally, if I am to further my education I would go into Microbial Biotechnology more, I realized that in doing Microbial Biotechnology I could connect it with Tech in a way, where everything is becoming modernized, and then biotechnology requires several programming languages in the bioscience such as python and lot more. So that way I get to do tech with microbiology for masters.

Venturing into Microbial Biotechnology will help me so well in my career path as I get to do what I love and also gain more insights, not leaving out the financial benefits it gives to me. Microbial biotechnology is a less common field but then it is very important and needed. It brings about improved vaccines for diseases and also better disease diagnostic tools which are very important.

WHAT DIFFERENCE WILL IT MAKE IF I DON’T FURTHER?

If I choose not to further my studies or go into Microbial biotechnology I think there would be a space in my life that will be empty more like me not doing what I love to do and attaining my long-term goal. It would make a huge difference. I won’t be open to several pieces of knowledge I could get if I go into this. So that will make a huge difference.

There are other opportunities out there but then we should work towards what we want to be in life. It might take a long time to achieve it but through God, hard work, consistency, and dedication we could attain it. I’m super certain I will attain every height of education I want to attain and then venture into what I would love to venture into, it’s just a matter of time.
