A Special Valentine

Valentine’s Day is a day dedicated to love. A day when people tend to express their feelings to the people they love. It could be through words of affirmation, Gifts, Spending quality time together, or any act of kindness. Most times people fail to realize that Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be between couples but also between friends, family members, or even yourself.

I have always been a lover of gifts, and I send gifts out to my friends and family members. Most times I take my time to gift myself more like appreciating myself whenever I achieve something. This way I feel good and motivated. I also love it when I see people happy whenever they receive gifts.

Valentine’s Day was a working day for me as I had to go to school. I had to take my students from 8 am to 10 am on Food Microbiology so I woke up early and prepared for school. After my first lecture, I was in school when I got a call from a dispatch rider that I had a package and he was in front of the school. I went out to receive the package and honestly, I was smiling all through because someone thought about me.

I got to the office and then I got a text from my friend asking me if I had received the package. I said yes and kept telling him thank you. When I opened the package, I found out it was a wig and a Valentine's card. I am 100 percent a lover of wigs especially if it is a nice one. When I took out the wig from the package and saw the texture, I knew it was way better than the ones, I had.

An hour later, I got a call again from a dispatch rider and I had another delivery. This time I had pizza and a meal sent to me. I am a foodie so I loved this one. I think I had a great Valentine. I never expected it to be lovely as I was far away from my friends and didn’t expect any of them to go extra for me. I kept smiling till I got home.

I was supposed to head back home immediately after work but then my colleagues convinced me to follow them out for just an evening sit-out since it was Valentine. I agreed since I had nothing to do at home.

When we got to the place everywhere was calm, I loved the environment and its ambiance was super cool. A few minutes later, a man was on his kneel proposing to his said girlfriend. It was so cool. I was about to shout “God when” when this girl slapped him so hard and walked away.
Thank goodness I didn’t shout “God when”, I felt really bad for the guy as he was embarrassed. He just had to stand up with the help of some guys around.

Well, I didn’t have much to eat and since it was getting dark, I decided to head back home, so I took myself and my package and I returned home. I love my Valentine package and I love how it made me feel. I had a great Valentine.
