What do i see?

I see a woman's hand holding a bouquet of flowers. The bouquet contains many pretty flowers wrapped with brown paper and a note is attached to it.

What do I feel?

I felt that the bouquet of flowers is a gift to cheer someone up. Flowers brighten our day and so receiving a bouquet of flowers is sure to brighten up someone's day.

Amanda came in to Vicky's office and shouted "ta-da!"

"What are you doing Amanda?" Vicky asked.

"I'm trying to cheer you up. See what I brought you" she replied.

"When did I say I needed cheering up. I'm doing just fine Mandy" Vicky retorted.

Placing the flower bouquet on Vicky's table, Amanda sat opposite him and said "I noticed that you have been down these few days. I don't know what's bugging you but as your friend, I want to be there for you. When you're ready to share, I'll be here with a listening ear as well".

Vicky looked at her. He was touched by her gesture.

"Thank you Amanda. I appreciate your gesture and thank you for noticing. I'll surely let you know what's up soon but for now I can't. I hope you understand?"

"Of course dear. Now what are we having for lunch? It's your turn to pay. I won't listen to any excuse this time"

Both of them burst into a hearty laughter. The day brightened up for Vicky because someone cared.

This is just what friendship is all about. Knowing when a friend is feeling blue, showing concern and doing what you can to make them feel better.

Friends like Amanda should be treasures.

That's really thoughtful of Amanda for noticing Vicky mood. That's how friendship should be. Whenever one is down especially in a bad mood the other friend should look for something to cheer his/her friend.
