More than my inspiration.

The gift of family is something that I cherish especially when that family bond is real and true. There is also the gift of true friends encountered throughout the years. I am very grateful for that blessing as well. But if I really have to pick just one person out of them all, whom I can proudly call my most inspirational person, then my answer would undoubtedly be my daughter.

I can still recall vividly the first time I came to know of her existence. I was thrilled and scared at the same time. Thrilled because I would be actively participating in the reproduction process by continuing life and my lineage but scared because that was a first for me and sincerely, no book or manuscript prepares an expectant mother for that nine months journey. The fact is that it is peculiar to each woman.

I also recall that I had just come out of a bad relationship with a cheater and a betrayer at the time. Believe me, that was a suicidal moment for me. I was so down and confused about what to do with my life and how I would move on. I had no one to talk to as all they would say was “sorry” but they don't know that sorry doesn't cut it or make the bad event less painful.

But the thought of nurturing a new life gave me fresh hope and inspiration and my daughter became a huge reason for me wanting to live another day.

To prove what a blessing she is even as a tiny babe, she did not trouble me while growing up. She was very obedient and she loves me the most. I usually find myself wanting to achieve more because of her.

My daughter is my motivation, my source of inspiration and my beautiful star. Her smile brightens up my life and even though things are tough at some points, I derive the will to keep pushing because of her.

I know that I am beautiful but her beauty is peerless and it takes my breath away at how I could produce such a beautiful child. Not only is she outwardly beautiful, but her character is also palatable and lovely.

I wish to give her the very best and do all I can to always keep her happy. She gives me the energy that I need to wake up each day and go about my business. I look forward to the future more because of her.

At my lowest point, she blessed and graced my life. She is more than just my inspiration, she is my world.
