Home coming....Finish the tale #10.

As the clock struck midnight, the letter in my hands began to glow. It exuded a bright light capable of warming the heart. With a gasp, Charity dropped the letter, fearing the worst but the glow didn't diminish rather it glowed with more brilliance beyond comprehension. It was simply paranormal yet Charity was excited as she had never seen such an amazing phenomenon.

A huge ball of light emerged from the letter and formed a portal. There and then, she heard a most beautiful and gentle voice call out these words to her…

“Charity, do not be afraid. You are the one we've been searching for. It is time to claim your destiny. Step into the portal. We await you…princess”

Surprised, she stood up from her bed and walked a few inches towards the portal. “I don't know if I should follow that voice but what if I don't come back?” She thought but recalling how pitiful her life was,she was determined to change her fate. Charity had lived alone after her grandmother's death. She was mocked by the community for being a jinx as all her loved ones had died. No one cared for her and those who did, bullied her daily.

“What's the use of staying in this old cottage? I need to know what lay in store for me” she thought once more as she slowly stepped into the portal. With two bright flashes of light which blinded her vision, she was teleported to another world. At least that was what it felt like because she saw herself floating in the air. Then she heard that same voice from before…

“You made a wise choice. Welcome to Narnia. We all have been expecting you” the voice said but it was close and this startled Charity. She looked behind her to see a little golden fairy with wings floating in the air.

“My name is Arabella your personal fairy your grace. Allow me to show you around your kingdom” the golden fairy said.

Still puzzled, Charity asked “What do you mean by my kingdom?”

“Your grandmother was our queen and she told us to send for you once you turned sixteen which was two days ago. She acknowledged you as the sole heir to the throne and now you must continue her legacy” Arabella explained.

“I know it's a lot to take in right now seeing that your life before had been unpleasant but trust me. We are your people and we've watched out for you ever since your grandmother's demise. I promise that from here on, your life I'll be better than you could ever imagine” Arabella continued.

“Okay, I'll believe you. Please Arabella do show me around and also I have one request” Charity asked.

“What's your request princess. Just say the words and it will be done” Arabella remarked.

“I'll like to hear more about my grandmother and how she came to be your queen”

“Very well, your highness,” said Arabella. “I won't just tell you, I'll show you. Please follow me to the imperial palace. Your subjects await”.

With that, the both of them flew towards a glistening castle right in the middle of Narnia. There was a statue of Charity's grandma right in front. Charity couldn't help but feel nostalgic but she knew that she had finally come home.

So, Charity never returned to the reality? I wonder how much her life would become great being in a new kingdom and also, the sole heir to her grandmother’s throne. What a beautiful story.

This story is so interesting! I really liked how Charity's life changed from being full of pain to something so beautiful. It shows that even when life is tough, something good can still happen. I enjoyed reading it, well done.
