Found a new version.

In the year 2001, a song hit our ears and made it tingle in delight at the sheer beauty of praise. This song happens to be a gospel song and it was originally released in 1988 by Rich Mullins but it wasn't until Micheal W. Smith rendered his own version in 2001, that this song became popular and known to many.

The song I am referring to is Awesome God.

So far, even after so many years have passed, this song has not lost its beauty nor has it lost its charm. Recently, a music artist popularly known for his mind blowing lyrics in his songs, has taken this song and done justice to it by making a superb cover of this song and I can tell you that it is simply breathtaking.

Sometimes, I wonder at how much intelligence and wisdom goes into making music and I am always fascinated by good music with good, meaningful lyrics.

God is good and He remains an awesome God. There are situations I have found myself in that I knew that I could not help myself but God came through for me, making a way out.

Last week, I wrote about my younger brother's appendicitis surgery. I give all thanks and praise to God because the surgery was a success and my brother has been discharged from the hospital. He is safe and doing alright.

I had many sleepless nights just thinking about the ordeals he would pass through and the pains of surgery but thankfully, everything is past. Even raising the three hundred thousand naira for the surgery alone minus test and scan bills was only by God's grace.

Whom could I have run to for help and who would have given me such an amount of money at this time when my country's economy is hitting rock bottom and the prices of things are going haywire.

Many families can't even feed properly anymore. Living now is only by God's grace. So this song reflects my heart of praise and adoration to God Almighty who never fails. He never disappoints and if He did, it is because He has something better and bigger for me.

Listening to this song especially the cover version by Phil Wickham, I cannot help but lift my hands and give God praise.

Here's a video clip of Phil Wickham's version. I hope it blesses you as it did me.

Thanks for reading and viewing.

My dear, God is great and does great things. Ever sufficient and promise keeping God, always providing all our needs, even when we least expected it.

Praised be to his name for making a way and provided all that was needed for your brother's surgery and and it turned out successful. He'll continue to be your provider and fortress.
