Finish the tale #8......Crazy little fingers.

The moment I pressed “send” I knew I had made a terrible mistake.

I had just laid my heart bare to Sheriff James in a two minute text message. ”What was I thinking?” I thought out loud. I hope he doesn't see me as being desperate.

Sheriff James was the one who had helped me find my niece who went missing at the park sometime ago. He usually dropped by to check on us “girls” and to see how we were fairing. Lucy and Fluffy have now become so find of him that they usually wait at the door, expecting his police vehicle to drive in. Fluffy would wag its tail in happiness while Lucy would stare expectantly toward the road ahead.

Of course I am not left out. I also do my best to look smart and pretty and I make sure to outdo myself in the kitchen when I know he will be coming around. That was how much influence he had on us.

James and I shared a chemistry but he had not yet said the words my ears were itching to hear and so while wondering if something was wrong with me, I had picked up my phone and typed some confessions but I had not meant to send it to him. I wanted to save it in my draft and use at a later time but I pressed the send button and now I'm here seated waiting for his reply or any form of reaction from James.

After a few minutes, I received a message on my phone. After reading the contents, I smiled. Sheriff James just accepted my confession and now he wants us to be an item. Now I think I should appreciate my crazy little fingers for the stroke of luck. James knows how I feel towards him and he confessed to me, even asking me to be his girlfriend. Now,we are going to be an item. Things were going great.
