Favourite Month.

Hello everyone, greetings!

A month comprises of thirty or thirty-one days. With the concept of "month" , different things occur in people's minds. For some it's rolling in of income in form of salary while for others, it's marking a special date such as anniversaries, birthdays and all.

Marking special dates is regarded as auspicious and precious, something we all look forward to. Thus, it makes the month one to look forward to yearly.

To speak about my favourite month is a thing of immense joy for me as I believe it would be same for other people as well. Some like the month of December because of Christmas and the holidays while some like January because of it's signifying a new beginning. It's simply different strokes for different folks

For me, the month I cherish rhe most is undoubtedly my birth month. The month of June. This month is so special thus earning it's place as my favourite month of the year.

There are two major reasons why this month is special to me and it's not just because it's the month I was born in.

The first reason is because of the season that falls in June and that season is Summer. Summer is a beautiful season that I love to experience. The sunny and warm days are surreal. I should state that I'm a person that likes warm temperate climate regions. I don't really thrive well in cold weather because I fall ill with cold and cattarrh accompanied by severe sore throats.

In my country, the cold season referred to as "harmattan" and most know that the season is characterized by dryness and dust and that is not good for me at all. During this season, I don't like going out because of the dust and low humidity.

Summer is my ideal season, everything is warm and bubbly, there is no dust neither is there any dryness, plus it's the time to visit the beach more and sun bathe. For those who don't have a beach, I guess a swimming pool would suffice. Also the days are longer in summer. Which leads me to the next point.

The second reason the month of June is my favourite is because my birthdate is the 21st, which is the exact day of the summer solstice. The exact day when the earth tips a little towards the Northern hemisphere which causes the rays of the sun to shed over the tropic of Cancer ( go to your Geography textbooks for more). The day I learnt of this, I was so elated. I was born on the exact day of the summer solstice...wow!

Also, people born in June are extremely beautiful or handsome, smart, witty, intelligent, extra sensitive, reserved, compassionate and deep lovers. We also feel things deeply too.

So with all this information I bet you can now see why the momth of June is special and my favourite month of the year.
