Economical happy gifts.

We are already in the season of giving, whether you want to or not. I may not know how things work in some countries but I'm fully aware of how things operate in my country anytime its Christmas season. For starters, you would begin to be bombarded by relatives who already have prepared list on what they want you to get for them. At that time, these relatives would use emotional blackmail on you. You would hear statements like..
*"Remember when you were little, I changed your diaper 🙄 OR do you know that I supported your education?, blah, blah, blah"
It is quite hilarious to me when they do this but I no longer take it to heart as this is the season of giving. But what do you do when your needs are high but your cash flow is low. How do you make the most of your giftings but don't tear your pocket. Well, I'll be sharing my low budget gift ideas below....so enjoy.
For low budget gift ideas, I personally go for gifts that would be useful to the recipient either at home or at work. Some low buget gifts that I would go for are....
Perfumes and body sprays
These gifts are a necessity because smelling nice is good. No one would be comfortable sitting with or being around people with body odour but a good body fragrance is attractive. Getting a piece of good body spray dows not cost much. A piece of body spayy I got for myself last week cost me only two thousand naira (#2,000). This is a good low budget gift to give out to loved ones this season.
Teddy bears
There are beautiful teddy bears pit in thw market this season and trust me, they are pocket friendly. A fellow colleague was gifted one on Monday by a grateful parent and when I saw it, I fell in love with it. The teddy bear was so lovely and its colour was so alluring to me. If you find what I'm saying to be strange, then you are not a romantic at heart😁. This teddy bear only costs two thousand five hundred naira, not even up to two dollars and it can be gifted to young female relatives or friends. Teddy bears are great cuddle buddies.
Ankara fabric
You are not a complete Nigerian if you don't have an ankara fabric. "Ankara" fabrics are colourful native fabrics with beautiful patterns and colour combination that can be used to make all sorts of garments and the cool thing is that they are also budget friendly. Currently at the market, 6 yards of ankara fabric goes for five thousand naira (#5,000). Although there are high cost ones due to the quality and brand but you can still get pocket friendly beautiful ankara for your loved ones as gifts.
Wrist watch or bracelet
Maybe it's because I'm obsessed with wrist watches that made me to like gifting them out or maybe I want the recipient to be time conscious, hehe, whichever way it is, there are pocket friendly beautiful wrist watches that can be used as gifts to loved ones. The one on my wrist was a gift I received recently from someone I helped to get a job and to show his appreciation, he bought this wrist watch for me. When I probed at the market, I learnt that the wrist watch cost about three thousand naira (#3,000). So sweet.
Fruit basket
The last but not least low budget gift I would go for is a fruit basket. Fruits are healthy and delicious and gifting someone a fruit basket is symbolic for fruitflness. Getting a fruit basket mixed with some local and imported fruits in my area only costs five thousand naira (5,000). I gift fruit baskets to the elderly, my superiors at my work place or those whom I know don't take carbonarted drinks or wine*.

Giving low budget gifts is not bad. The focus is on the giver's sincerity and show of love through the gifts. I once read somewhere that "it is not the gift that matters but the intention behind the gift".
Thanks for reading. This is my entry to the #decemberinleo initiative for day 13.

The first two items sounded off to me because maybe I was brought up the village and those things were never a concern to us. It's either food, plenty food or wears🤣
Lol, village man. Wetin you know 😂😂😂
