An angel to the rescue.....Finish the tale #20.

The family vacation was going smoothly-until someone realized that they'd booked the Airbnb for the wrong week.

“That's a bummer”, Katie said when Mom finally read out the message she got on her phone, notifying them of the mistake. The vacation week was correct. Katie's mom had requested for a two weeks leave to take her girls on a much needed vacation.

The only mistake was that she booked their Airbnb with a wrong date. It wouldn't have been serious if they'd found out before embarking on the journey. But now that they'd already arrive at their vacation venue, the matter seemed to make them worry.

“Don't worry girls, I promise that we will get through this and still have a great time okay” Natalie, Katie's mom said.

They nodded in response even though they were worried. Katie and her sister Cherry know how tiring their mom's work is. They tried to ease her burdens by not making too many demands on their mom but who were they kidding? They're still kids afterall.

Katie is nine years old while Cherry is seven years old. Both girls have dutifully listened to their mom and they help out around the house from time to time. Natalie saw this and feared that her girls would miss out on enjoying their childhood, hence the reason for this vacation.

They had chosen a place close to the beach, where they could all play with the sand and water , swim and take evening strolls. Aside the beach, there were other tourist attractions that lured Natalie and her girls to their chosen vacation city but now, with their accommodation posing a problem, Natalie had to thin fast.

While she was brooding on a thought, a kind elderly lady walked up to them. “You girls must be tired. Do you have a place to stay? If not, then you can rest at my place until you get your accommodation figured out”.

“Really, thank you so much ma'am. I booked an Airbnb but I gave the wrong date and now it looks like we are two weeks early” Natalie said.

“It's alright dear. I live alone in a big house. I don't mind having some company at my place. It will be wonderful”, the elderly lady concluded with a happy smile.

“Thank you very much ma'am. My daughters and I are grateful for your kindness. Please lead the way, we would be happy to stay with you throughout the duration of our vacation” Natalie said and her girls nodded in approval.

As they all walked towards a cab, Natalie could not help but surmise that the elderly woman was an angel sent to rescue them. She smiled inwardly with a calm reassurance that all would be well and the vacation would continue as planned.
