Life Happens; Rising, Falling, and Rising Again

Life has taught me that sometimes you win, sometimes you fall, but every time, you learn how to rise again.

Life has a funny way of teaching us lessons. One minute you feel like you’re on top of the world, and the next, you’re wondering how you landed back at square one. I’ve experienced both sides, and sometimes when I look back, I just smile because that is how life works.

I remember a time when I was really low. Things were not working the way I wanted. I had just left a job, and financially, I was not stable. Every day felt like a struggle because I had to think of how to survive, how to support myself, and how to keep moving forward. During that period, I felt like giving up at some point, but one thing that kept me going was my belief that situations do not last forever. I kept telling myself, “This season will pass.”

Then, things changed. An opportunity came my way through someone I least expected. I got involved in a business that started paying off, and slowly, my life began to take a new shape. I was able to settle some bills, take care of myself better, and even support my family in little ways. That feeling of rising from a low point to a better level was so refreshing. I remember telling myself, “You did well. You didn’t give up.” It felt like a breakthrough, and for a while, I was really proud of how far I had come.

But life also has another side. Just when I was enjoying my small wins, another setback hit me. I made an investment that I thought would double my income, but it failed badly. I lost money, and I felt like I had been thrown back to the starting line again. As if that was not enough, other small problems came at the same time, my phone charger spoiled, gas finished unexpectedly, and bills kept piling up. It was like everything agreed to fall apart at once. I laughed at myself at some point and said, “This life sha, it knows how to humble somebody.”

Managing my mental health during that period was not easy. I cried some nights, and I worried about the future. But what helped me was reminding myself of my past victories. I told myself, “If you were able to rise before, you can rise again.” I also leaned on prayer and encouragement from close friends. Talking about it instead of bottling everything up gave me relief. Slowly, I picked myself up, adjusted my plans, and started again.

The biggest lesson I learned is that both success and failure are part of life. Sometimes, falling back to square one is not the end; it is just life redirecting you to another path. If you don’t allow failure to define you, you will always find strength to rise again.

So, my advice to anyone going through a tough time is simple: don’t give up. Cry if you need to, rest if you must, but don’t stay down. Remember your past wins, because they are proof that you can rise again. Life will always happen, but so can your comeback.

Not giving up is how you win, when life hits you, you have to find a way to fight and fight until you win..

I know the pain of wanting more and the all effort to look like it wouldn't be fruitful. I have come to understand one thing and that is, no condition is permanent and everything in this life will change, its just season and time. Well done and glad you didn't give up.
